Therefore, the lead trio, Freya Allen, Anya Chalotra, and Liam Hemsworth, who replaced Henry Cavill for The Geralt of Rivia, will soon be returning for the fifth and final season of the show.Considering that The Witcher Season 4 was just released a month or so ago, there isn't much information available on the fifth season as of now. The only available information is that it was written in 2024 and filmed in 2025 after Season 4. However, we do know that the fifth and final season will span eight episodes and the creatives who came together for each of these episodes.Episode 1: The first episode of Season 5 was written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach, who has previously written episode six for both Seasons 3 and 4 of The Witcher. The episode was directed by Jeremy Webb, who was a part of projects such as The Umbrella Academy, The Last of Us, Merlin, and Shadow & Bone, among others.Episode 2: The second episode, also directed by Jeremy Webb himself, was written by Tera Vale Ragan, who has a debut writing credit after being a longtime producer for the Netflix show from the very start of The Witcher.Episode 3: In a change of director, the third episode was directed by Christopher Clark Cowan, who is known for his work on projects such as The Acolyte, Argylle, and Shang-Chi. Cowan has been a part of The Witcher since he joined as action and second unit director for Season 4. The episode was written by Troy Dangerfield, who has previously written episode eight of Season 3 and Episode 4 of Season 4.
