The Studio has proved to be one of the best shows of this year so far, and an educated guess would argue that its popularity would only increase with time. Prior to the debut season finale, The Studio has already been renewed for a second season.

The Seth Rogen-led comedy initially started out as a love letter to Hollywood itself and soon spiraled into a frenzied and energetic spoof of everything that makes the movie business fun. Add to that the excellent comic timing of the actors coupled with the fluid camera movements, and you've got the best thirty minutes of comedy in recent times.

Although all the episodes of The Studio are genius in their own right owing to their inherent chaos, here we take a look at three individual episodes that take the cake.

What are the 3 most hilarious The Studio episodes?

Keep reading to learn more.

1) Episode 4

The Missing Reel came midway through the debut season of The Studio, which had by then already set the momentum with three superb preceding episodes. The one factor that made this episode stand out from the rest was the nuanced parody of one of Hollywood's greatest genres, i.e., noir. Seth Rogen's Matt Remmick donned a hat and a trench coat and kept speaking into his voice recorder as he investigated a missing film reel from one of his productions. By the end, it is discovered that the director herself abducted the reel to force a reshoot.

2) Episode 2

The Oner was a technical masterpiece on the Apple TV+ show and fully demonstrated the creative team's obsession with long, dramatic one-take shots. Once again Remmick barged into one of his productions as they were preparing to shoot a complicated one-take shot and couldn't resist offering his two cents of wisdom to the director. Nevertheless, Remmick's wish to do good soon turned into an absolute nightmare for everyone else in the crew!

3) Episode 1

The highly entertaining pilot episode titled The Promotion brought along Martin Scorsese to play himself. As Remmick tried his best to make an artistically brilliant film and still make millions in the process, he bought Scorsese's latest and supposedly final screenplay, only to kill it later as it was in conflict with the studio's corporate policy. Scorsese's heartbreak was genuine, and this episode set the tone for the rest to follow.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg open up about The Studio

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Deadline, creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg opened up about their approach to coming up with the Apple TV+ show. When asked about the reason they wanted to tell this particular story, Rogen explained:

"How high stakes it feels all the time, how important it is. As we’ve gotten older, we run a company, and it’s not a studio (production company Point Grey), but we find ourselves in moments of deciding which movies to kind of champion and which ones not to and giving directors notes on movies, notes on their edits, and giving actors notes, and having to get people we idolize to work with us, and then being afraid we’re going to disappoint them."

The Studio is exclusively available on Apple TV+.
