All's Fair came back with its fifth episode on November 18. The episode called This is Me Trying brought new depth and nuance to legal drama streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. The show is directed by Uta Briesewitz and is written by Lynnie Greene and Richard Levine.

Kim Kardashian stars as Allura Grant, a big-profile divorce attorney who runs an all-female law firm. In this episode, Naomi Watts also comes back as Liberty Ronson, one of the founding partners who makes crucial decisions about her connection with Reggie Ramirez.

Niecy Nash Betts appears as Emerald Greene, who continues to tackle the aftermath of a traumatic incident. Additionally, Sarah Paulson takes the main stage as Carrington Lane. Her character undergoes significant development as the audience witnesses her personal life unfold across all the episodes.

She struggles as a single mother to her child, Ami, and the episode explores her emotional difficulties and vulnerabilities. Paulson delivers a compelling performance, displaying her range. Glenn Close appears as Dina Standish, a senior partner whose presence lends weight to each scene of All's Fair.

Jason Butler Harner features as Sebastian, a character from Carr's past who helps her navigate personal struggles. Juliette Mae Diamond portrays the role of Amabel Lane, Carr's teenage daughter, who deals with loneliness at school.

Brooke Sheilf also features as Juliana Morse, who is a client looking for a divorce from her husband, who suffers from Alzheimer's. Shields brings a sense of grace and sensitivity to this challenging role, delivering an emotionally resonant performance as her character navigates a unique situation with her daughter.

Jennifer Morrison appears as Willow Fallow, a powerful client who intimidates even the invincible Carr. Morrison's character is involved in a complicated lawsuit, and the performer brings depth that showcases why she remains a sought-after talent. Scott Evans portrays Eric Dunkin, the opposing party in Willow's lawsuit.

Lorraine Toussaint guest stars as Alberta Dome, who is counsel for an opposing client who displays unexpected kindness to Carr. She is known for her performance in Orange Is the New Black and Selma. She brings warmth to her role, offering support during a vulnerable moment. Caitlin McGee features as Bethany Morse, who is Juliana's daughter, serves as her father's legal support, and also creates chaos with her mother.

Tamara Taylor comes back as Detective Connie Morror, who is continuing to investigate an unpredictable death. She comes with warrants that add complexities to the matter for the main leads, adding suspense to the ongoing case.
