Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 comes with more and more surprises to the already complex plot of the series. After facing the Hyde attack, Wednesday wakes up to a surprise she did not expect. At the beginning of Wednesday Season 2, we see that Wednesday lost her psychic abilities by overexerting her powers.
She lost her spirit guide, Goody Addams, and did not know how to navigate this new situation. However, in the second part, she finds that Principal Larissa Weems has now become her new spirit guide. However, Principal Weems is not just Wednesday’s spirit guide but also possesses a myriad of abilities besides showing Wednesday the way.
Please be prepared for the spoiler ahead.
Principal Weems’ ability to move objects as a spirit guide in Wednesday Season 2
It is truly intriguing to think that Principal Weems is a distant relative of Wednesday, as she reveals in Wednesday Season 2. While she explains to Wednesday that she would be her spirit guide after Goody’s departure, Wednesday is far from being ecstatic. She points out Wednesday’s shenanigans, saying that she lost her psychic abilities, lied to Enid about her impending doom, and freed Tyler.

It is truly comical to see that the sparks of their adversarial relationship in the first season remain quite intact. However, the true surprise comes to the viewers when we see that Principal Weems’ Weems-ian moves are not just limited to being Wednesday’s spirit guide but also spread to her ability to move physical objects.
In Wednesday Season 2 episode 5, when Wednesday is having a conversation with her mother while looking into Marilyn Thornhill’s things, Principal Weems moves Thornhill’s notebook towards Morticia. Morticia picks up the notebook to see the chemistry formula of Thornhill. This formula indicates a connection to Tyler’s hyde.
Similarly, another example of Weems' ability to move objects comes in Wednesday Season 2 episode 8. Here, Principal Weems and Wednesday were discussing Dort’s activities, and Weems was sitting in a chair. Right when Eugene arrived to talk to Wednesday, Weems vanishes, but the chair kept rotating. This is also a distinct indication that there is more to Weems’ abilities than just being a spirit guide.
This twist of Weems’s ability to not just be the spiritual mentor of Wednesday, but also being good at something solid and physical, like moving objects, truly depicts her varied abilities. Though she might not be able to change forms as her mortal ability once was, she has gained a new power.
It is intriguing to see how the series depicts this ability in Weems in such a subtle manner, which can often get overlooked if you are not paying minute attention to the series.
At the end of Wednesday Season 2, she helps Wednesday get her psychic abilities back. She also helps in reconnecting with Wednesday’s bonds with her mother. Her contribution in Wednesday’s journey to bring a somewhat end to the complication with Tyler and protect her family from the dangers is truly remarkable.
Whether we will see more of Principal Weems in the next season is still unclear. At the end of the series, she tells Wednesday that she will take a “sabbatical”. There is definitely an indication that she might return as Wednesday’s spirit guide now that Wednesday will face even more dangers involving her own Aunt.
