Gen V, the Prime Video series, which is a spin-off of The Boys, is set to release its second season on September 17, 2025. The show, which first came out on September 29, 2023, is developed by Eric Kripke, who also developed The Boys, and is based on the graphic novel titledThe Boys Volume 4: We Gotta Go Now by Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and John Higgins. The events of the first season were set before The Boys season four, and the upcoming second season will be set after The Boys season four.
A teaser trailer for Gen V season two was released on June 1, 2025, and now Prime Video has released a new poster for the upcoming season.
Gen V Season 2 first look
Gen V is set to be released on September 17, 2025 with a three-episode premiere and will release the each of the rest of the five episodes every Wednesday till October 22, 2025. Amazon's description of the upcoming season is as follows:
School is back in session. As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander’s iron fist, back at Godolkin University, the mysterious new dean preaches a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to college, burdened by months of trauma and loss.
But parties and classes are hard to care about with war brewing between Humans and Supes, both on and off campus. The gang learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize. And, somehow, Marie is a part of it.
Prime Video has just released a new poster for Gen V season two, which features the main characters of the show, including both forms of Jordan Li, Emma Meyer, Marie Moreau, Cate Dunlap, and Asa Germann.
The cast from season one will be returning for season two, which includes Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer / Little Cricket, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor, Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordon, and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity.
Chance Perdomo will no longer return as Andre Anderson for season two, due to his unfortunate demise in March 2024. The show has decided not to recast the character and will conclude Perdomo's character's story respectfully, bidding him a fitting goodbye.

The teaser trailer has already given us a peek at Hamish Linklater, who joins the show as the school's new dean, Dean Cipher. He seems to have a staunch belief that supes are better than humans, and is hell-bent on transforming the supes students into soldiers.
Gen V season two will be released on Prime Video on September 17, in a three-episode premiere, followed by weekly releases of each of the next five episodes of the season will be released on Wednesdays till the finale on October 22, 2025. Season one is streaming on Prime Video.
