American Ninja Warrior season 17 is welcoming the Cajun Cowboy, Todd Burgeois, back on the playing field to try his luck one more time. The contestant has appeared on the track many times.
He has made an impressive performance the last time Todd appeared on American Ninja Warrior and was able to secure his place in Las Vegas after he put himself in the Top 30 at the Atlanta Qualifiers and top 15 at the City Finals.
He had a firm foot on the Giant Log Grip, and it showed that he had practiced his techniques and strategies for the same before and came prepared this time. This was something that he was doing for the second time in 2017, and cleared the Stage One after executing caution.
However, as fate would have it, Todd went out on the Jumping Spider on American Ninja Warrior, the one spot that took a toll on him in 2015 as well. Thus, it was interesting to see what he made of himself with this brand new season and whether he still has it.
Todd Burgeois on American Ninja Warrior Season 17
Todd started off his course on American Ninja Warrior season 17 strong and was paving his way through the track effortlessly. The narrator called out his cowboy blood for the same and reminisced about the time that he had appeared on the show all those years ago. They also pointed out how he can run a long way without getting rubbed off.
As the viewers saw on TV, he was making his way through every jump and every grip, and even though it looked like he might fall at some moments, the Cajun Cowboy was surefooted and proved the haters wrong.
Announcing on his Instagram, his appearance on the American Ninja Warrior, Todd expressed his excitement the night before and called for fans to watch him on the show. He wrote,
"Aight y’all!! Tune in this Monday (June 23) 8:00 PM EST to NBC to watch American Ninja Warrior @anwnation for some Cajun Cowboy actiòn 🐊🤠🥷"
This is not the first time that Todd is going through an obstacle course, as his Instagram reflects the various tracks that he has been on. Upon scrolling down a bit, he is also seen starring in a Red Bull Ranch Strong competition that took place in Fort Worth.
This just proves how well he has trained his physical body and mind to endure long durations of difficulties, and it is safe to say that the same came in handy when he appeared yesterday on the episode of American Ninja Warrior.
Talking about how these shows have fared for him, Todd wrote on his Instagram,
"1. What an amazing group of people!! Stoked and honored to be a part of such an event!! 2. I only had one broken knuckle, I really bruised my arm, and a swollen Quad after this event. 3. Making the podium was a tremendous honor. You can see my mistakes in the second run, where I lost out in the semifinals…. But I had the potential to place even higher, so that’s something to work wit!"
As for what happened on the show, Todd was disqualified by just an inch as his foot had touched the water at the end accidentally. Fans are now excited to see him on his other ventures as well.
American Ninja Warrior season 17 drops new episodes weekly on NBC at 8 PM Eastern Time on Mondays. Later, they will be available to stream online via Peacock.
