Don't Hate Your House with the Property Brothers: Drew and Jonathan Scott work on Warren and Tricia's house

The latest Don't Hate Your House with the Property Brothers episode saw Drew and Jonathan meeting homeowners Tricia and Warren. The couple welcomed their second baby and was looking forward to more space in their house.

With their extended family and their newest member, they faced various issues inside their home. The two talked about their concerns and how they wanted to utilize more space.

After they shared their requirements, Drew and Jonathan started inspecting the house. They noted that it was not functional and also came across some safety issues.

Soon, they began tearing down unnecessary furniture, including cabinets, doors, drawers, boards, and more.

"Their cramped layout has been bothering them for too long. With a narrow galley kitchen that’s tough to work in, a front door that hits right into their dining table, and a ton of surprise structural issues, this home has become a burden," mentioned HGTV.

After exploring the kitchen, the Property Brothers noted that it was the tightest kitchen they had ever seen.

"We first bought this home envisioning hosting our family. We're a pretty big family," shared Tricia.

Her husband added that it had been very difficult and stressful for them after they recently had their second child. Further in the Don't Hate Your House with the Property Brothers episode, Drew and Jonathan started by removing the kitchen cabinets.

"Everybody grab a door. Grab a drawer. We're ripping it all out," said Jonathan.

Everyone began dismantling the kitchen cabinets.

"Even though it's a small house, a lot of big things have to happen," said Drew.

While removing the furniture, the Property Brothers noted that there was no shut-off valve on the gas line. They also noticed cuts in the base of the structure, which was not a good sign. Drew found some loose wiring and told the homeowners that it was beyond illegal.

After Jonathan and Drew came across many major issues, Warren noted that he felt they should not even live there. Jonathan said they had to build everything from scratch, and Drew agreed.

They worked on restructuring the home, kitchen, storage space, coffee bar, dining room, and added more usable space to their outdoor living area.
