Logan Marshall-Green made his debut as Adam Gardens, Carrie's gardener, in And Just Like That Season 3 Episode 2, and it looked like the show had introduced another love interest for its leading lady.

After Carrie's Gramercy Park sanctuary was torn down due to a rodent infestation, the handsome New York native gardener helped bring Carrie's vision to life, but sparks were clearly flying between them.

With Carrie still trying to make her long-distance romance with Aidan work, this new conversation was confusing for fans, but And Just Like That Season 3 quickly shifted gears.

After Seema Patel, Carrie's friend, came to pick her up for her book launch in Virginia, her chemistry with Adam was undeniable, and just like that, we have another romantic pair in the making.

Seema Patel will likely be Adam Gardens' new love interest in And Just Like That Season 3

While it looked like sparks were flying between Carrie and Adam, And Just Like That Season 3 quickly shifted gears and teased a potential romance between Adam Gardens and Seema Patel.

The conversation between Adam and Carrie in Season 3 Episode 2 was strictly professional after all, and Adam was genuinely helping Carrie restore her Gramercy Park sanctuary. While Carrie is still hellbent on making her romance with Aidan work, Marshall-Green might spend some more time in the show, with his potential romance with Seema.

The show has largely focused on Carrie's romance naturally since she is the leading lady, but And Just Like That Season 3 is potentially introducing a new love interest for Seema in Adam.

Season 3 is also focusing on Seema, who just broke up with Ravi, even after agreeing to give her long-distance lover a chance. On her boss's insistence, she meets with a matchmaker, and it was hinted that Seema might be back into the dating game.

With undeniable chemistry between Seema and Adam, teased when the former came to pick Carrie up, it seems that she (and not Carrie) will be Adam's new love interest.

And Just Like That Season 3 is investing in Carrie and Aidan's romance

While fans picked up on some chemistry between Carrie and Adam, it was made clear that Seema will likely be his new love interest. This change of plans hints that And Just Like That Season 3 is committed to investing in Carrie and Aidan's romance, even when they have many obstacles between them.

While the couple has much (toxic) history and has tried to make their relationship work many times in Sex and the City before, they miserably failed. Carrie was always hung up on Mr. Big, which hindered her blossoming romance with Aidan. However, the couple shared a kiss in Sex and the City 2 and kept their connection alive.

With Mr. Big's death in the reboot's premiere, Aidan is the only stable romantic connection in Carrie's life in And Just Like That Season 3. It might just be for the best if the show continues to invest in their relationship, which might also right some of Aidan's wrongs from the parent series.

While Aidan was nowhere near an ideal partner for Carrie in Sex and the City, the couple is slowly growing out of their toxic phase. And Just Like That Season 3 might make Carrie and Aidan endgame and give some much-needed stability to its leading lady.
