Andor Season 2 officially wrapped up on May 13, 2025, closing the chapter that leads into Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. For fans, the season finale was an emotional milestone, especially because it featured a heartbreaking moment for Bix Caleen as he had to bid farewell to Cassian Andor as he departed for Kafrene. But off-screen, the farewell was just as difficult for actor Adria Arjona, who portrayed Bix Caleen across both seasons.

Arjona played the role of a black market dealer/mechanic and a member of the Rebellion. Andor Season 2's finale marks the end of Cassian's story, since we know that he dies in Rogue One.

Adria Arjona recently opened up to Collider about how emotional she felt when she had to film her last day on the sets of Andor Season 2, saying goodbye to Bix and Andor.

Adria Arjona's last day filming Andor Season 2

The last day of filming is usually a bittersweet moment for everyone involved in a project. On one hand, you're glad the project is completed, while on the other hand, you are sad because you will miss your castmates and crew members. Adriana Arjona was asked in a Collider interview how she felt in the days leading up to her last day on the set of Andor Season 2. She shared:

"My last day on set was Episode 12. We shot the end of the whole show the day before I wrapped, and then the last day was me working in the silos and looking up and realizing that there were Imperial ships coming in. It lingered for so long. For weeks, I was like 'Three weeks until I finish. Oh my god.' I could not believe that I was going to finish."

Arjona was also asked about how it felt to say goodbye to her character, Bix Caleen, once and for all. Bix Caleen made one of the biggest sacrifices at the end of Andor Season 2. She stayed behind on Mina-Rau while letting Cassian go to Kafrene. Bix also did not tell him that they had a son because she knew it would hold him back from his true destiny, which was to fight for the Rebellion.

Arjona, when asked about saying saying goodbye to Bix, said:

"It lingered prior, and it also lingered afterwards. There were a lot of tears, and I didn’t want to take the costume off. The idea that you’re not going to visit that character again, and it’s a character that has been really important for me, was really heartbreaking. But then it was this excitement that people were finally going to watch it because we wrapped, and post-production was going to go ahead strong."

An interesting detail revealed by Arjona is that she and Diego Luna finished filming on the same day. One would expect Luna to film for longer, given how much more we see him on screen, but that was not the case. Arjona recounted her experience of filming on the last day to Collider and stated:

"So, when that day came, Tony was on set. Diego and I were both on two different soundstages, so we wrapped the exact same day, the exact same moment. That was special. Who I began the show with, I ended the show with. It was a way bigger attribute for Diego, since he’s literally in every single episode all season, but everyone was crying, and we all hugged. It was beautiful that Tony was there to wrap because sometimes you wrap and your co-star is off doing something else, or they’re off that day, but this time we all wrapped and we wrapped everyone together. The whole show wrapped together. The last day that I shot was the last day of Andor Season 2, so it’s pretty special."

Arjona was extremely attached to the show and her character. She recalls a moment from the last day of filming Andor Season 2, as she told Collider:

"I was just reminiscing, and I still do. I finished my ADR, and I got the official, official wrap. Tony was like, 'You’ve got no more work to do on this.' He’s like, 'You’re officially wrapped.' And I was like, 'No, I refuse to.' Then, now, we just finished the press, we’re wrapping it up, and he’s like, 'We’re wrapping up!' And I’m like, 'No! I know we’re all going to be reunited somehow.' So, yeah, it’s been hard to accept that it’s over, but the fact that people are loving it so much and accepting it and appreciating it and talking about it, it’s exciting. It’s the reason why you do it. So, in that way, now, finally, I’m like, 'Okay, it’s done. Episode 12 is out.' It finally feels like we’re done."

Andor Season 2 was the last piece of the puzzle, which completed the story of Cassian Andor and illustrated how the Rebellion began, bridging the gap to Rogue One. While we know that Cassian does not survive, the fact that his legacy will live on through his son gives us hope.

Bix Caleen may not have been a perfect person, but she was perfect for Cassian. Her presence made Andor more than a show about the Rebellion. Adria Arjona and Bix Caleen will be dearly missed by fans, and from her words, it seems like she will miss Bix as much as fans will.

Both seasons of Andor are now streaming on Disney+.
