Star Wars fans all over the world let out a sigh of regret after Andor premiered with its final episode, mournful that it was over. In a way, Andor brought the Star Wars canon back to life, and it has forever upped the stakes and changed the way we see Rogue One and Episode IV: A New Hope. The unforgettable sacrifices made for the cause against the Empire will always reverberate in our minds.

Diego Luna promised that Andor would completely change the way everyone saw Rogue One, and he has delivered on his promise and more. Fans of the fandom agree with this sentiment, as hundreds of them gathered at the Writers' Guild Theatre in Los Angeles for an event titled "An Evening with Andor," where the cast got together and talked about some of the moments in the series that were the most impactful for them.

Andor, a prequel spin-off, an exploration of a character from a spin-off prequel, has managed to create for itself a revolutionary space in the Star Wars canon. Fans gathered at the "An Evening with Andor" event to celebrate the show's cast, where the actors mentioned some of their favorite moments.

Diego Luna, who plays Cassian, the compelling and well-portrayed titular hero, revealed that his favorite moment in the show was the one event that pushed the show's events into a much grander scale. The Ghorman massacre by the Empire has to be one of the most tragic events in the canon, and the way Andor portrayed it in the show was exceptionally well. Diego Luna talked about that moment in the show, saying that:

"The whole Ghorman massacre was so intense, deep and emotional, It was definitely something I’m not going to forget. There were shots where everything was happening at the same time. There were moments when there were multiple cameras and we were executing the whole thing with all the extras, stunts, the effects and fires and detonations and fights. It looked incredible."

We're sure nobody who has watched the show and has loved Star Wars is ever going to forget the visuals of the Ghorman Massacre or Mon Mothma's speech against the Empire and its fascist rule. The cast revealed that Mon Mothma's revolutionary speech was another one of their top scenes in the show. Genevieve O'Reilly, who played Mon Mothma on the show, explained the intensity of the scene and what went on behind bringing it to life:

"Initially, we would film it in sections, and [Gilroy] said to me, 'You want to do the whole speech, don’t you?' And I said, 'Yes, I do.' I want to feel, I want to have to stand up and give that speech many times so I could feel it as an actor. I would have to carve the nuance of when she was focused, when she was distracted, when she was fearful, so that you could fill a speech with that. I think this whole piece is an examination of courage, the courage of ordinary folk. But she doesn’t quite know it’s courageous in the moment. It’s full of self-doubt and fear. I could find her courage within the words and within her voice."

Andor started out as a prequel spin-off to a prequel spin-off, originally supposed to be just 5 episodes, but it has managed to enrich the entire narrative of a character and a story that happened almost 10 years ago.

Both seasons of the show are now available to stream on Disney+.
