After months of waiting, Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side is finally here, and Klasmeyts cannot be happier. The new season brings back Jasper Jean Mariano aka Jay-jay, Keifer, and Yuri.
And since the main trio is back, how can we not expect the other HVIS students to return? Not only the old classmates, but Ang Mutya ng Section E Season 2 also brings some new faces, the ones important when the dark secrets are out.

Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side episode 1 recap: Jay-jay struggles to ignore Keifer
Episode 1 of Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side is titled "Welcome Back to Section E," and it begins with "profanity", right on the first day! But before Jay meets Keifer and the two lock lips, Yuri picks her up from home and mentions that he's happy to do "fiancé duties" for her.
Though it's awkward for Jay-jay, she keeps it to herself. She cannot ignore what happened on New Year's Eve, especially how raw Keifer's confession was, followed by their romantic moment. She's also angry at Angelo for setting up the engagement without her consent and making her life difficult.
Yuri picks Jay and mentions it's better to keep the engagement news a secret from the Section E boys till the right time comes. So Jay threads her ring onto her necklace and wears it around her neck.
When she reaches school, Keifer pulls Jay and kisses her. When Jay mentions being guilty, Keifer explains that he's not afraid of anyone, especially when it comes to the girl he loves. The scene grows tender for a second, but Jay breaks it by biting Keifer’s lip before quickly running away.
Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side episode 1: Ci-n moves in and Edrix feels lonely
One of the most interesting parts of Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side episode 1 is Ci-n moving into Jay's house after he clashed with his elder brother. He had Angelo's permission to stay with Jay right in the morning, her sings "Daleng Dale", to remind fans they're watching the beloved AMNSE.
Later, Jay finds Edrix on the school's rooftop and learns that he's stuck in one-sided love. Edrix mentions how painful it is not to be able to tell your feelings to the person, and then shows Freya's picture on his phone.
At first, Jay agrees that the girl looks nice. But the moment she realises it's the Queen-B of Section A, she's shocked by Edrix's choice. But since it's about her friend, Jay can only help Edrix.
Keifer clashes with Aries in Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side episode 1
A tense moment takes place in Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side episode 1 when Section E boys learn Jay-jay is leaving the section. Keifer also hears it and goes straight to Section A to fight Aries.
The moment he sees him, Keifer punches Aries, and the fight gets tense. As usual, Freya has her phone out filming the whole scene, while Ella works on soothing Aries. When the fight finally cools for a second, Edrix spots Freya looking his way, and it’s enough to make him step back. It's a light-hearted moment explaining how much Edrix likes her.
Soon, Jay arrives and stops the fight. Keifer asks her to tell her brother she's not going anywhere. For a second, it seemed like Jay was ready to leave. However, she chose Section E over her father's phone number and told Aries that she would stay with the boys.
Keifer then pokes Aries in episode 1 of Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side, telling him that he's Mak Keifer Watson. He then promises Jay to find out her father's contact details as soon as he can.
Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side episode 1: Keifer challenges Yuri after Jay and Rory are attacked
By the end of Ang Mutya ng Section E Book 2: The Dark Side episode 1, Rory and Jay-jay encounter Keifer's rivals. They have been waiting for Jay, only to hurt her and settle the score with Keifer.
Everyone outside thinks Jay is Keifer's girlfriend, and the fight begins. And just when Jay sees blood and Rory being injured, she freezes out. The boys have been looking for Jay and Rory, and then they waste no time in visiting them at the hospital.
Keifer comforts Jay as she once again felt off after seeing blood. On the other side, David looks suspicious. He's on a call with someone, detailing the incident. It looks like he's plotting against his own friends.
And in the end, Keifer holds Jay in his arms. Yuri is clearly frustrated to see them and says that he's not giving up. Now that Yuri is ready to fight, Keifer also mentions that the game is finally on.
