Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches Season 3 adds a Breaking Bad star to its star cast: Find out who

Mayfair Witches Season 3 was renewed in April 2025, a month after Season 2 ended. The show follows Dr. Rowan Fielding, a pediatric neurosurgeon, who learns that she has descended from a family of powerful witches.

Not only that, but her family is haunted by an ominous spirit. The show follows Rowan as she figures out her real identity and faces challenges she had never imagined before.

Mayfair Witches Season 3 is currently under production in Vancouver, Canada, although no dates for release have been revealed. What we do know is that a Breaking Bad star has been cast.

Breaking Bad star Betsy Brandt joins Mayfair Witches Season 3

If you watched Breaking Bad, you would be highly familiar with Betsy Brandt, who played Marie Schrader in the show and in the final episode of Better Call Saul. Marie was Skyler White's sister, and Walter White's sister-in-law. She was a radiologic technician at Kleinman Radiology center and was married to Hank Schrader, who was a DEA Agent. As Deadline reports, Betsy Brandt has been cast in Mayfair Witches Season 3 as Katherine. Details about Brandt's character are yet to be revealed.

Interestingly, Bradt's addition reunites her with Mark Johnson and Thomas Schnauz, who are executive producers on Mayfair Witches and were also involved in Breaking Bad as executive producer and director, writer and co-exec producer, respectively. Betsy Brandt is also known for playing Joanna Gibbs in Private Practice, Sandy in Parenthood, Annie Henry in The Michael J. Fox Show, Heather Hughes in Life in Pieces, Stephanie Novak in Pearson, and Mia Thomas in Saint X, among others.

Season 2 ended with Rowan and her allies defeating the Scottish Mayfairs, after they attempt to sacrifice Lasher's newborn children for their blood. Lasher gets killed during this fight, but Julian takes his blood, and gains immense power and offers Rowan a chance to become all-powerful together by reviving the dead. Rowan does drink some of the blood herself, and later successfully brings Jojo and Daphne back from the dead. Julian is still watching Rowan closely, which means she still has to be very careful.

While Seasons 1 and 2 of the show were set in New Orleans, Mayfair Season 3 will be set in Salem, Masecheutts. While an official storyline is yet to be confirmed, according to AMC, Mayfair Witches Season 3 will:

dive deeper into the mythology of witchcraft, introduce new ‘spellbound’ families and feature some of the historical happenings of Salem, the infamous town of witch trials and folklore.

Other cast members of the show include Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding, Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien Grieve, Jack Huston as Lasher, Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair, Ben Feldman as Sam Larkin, and Alyssa Jirrels as Moira Mayfair, among others.

Mayfair Witches is created by Michelle Ashford and Esta Spalding, who are also executive producers on the show along with Anne Rice, Christopher Rice, Thomas Schnauz, Jeff Freilich, Mark Johnson, and Tom Williams (Season 2). The production companies behind the show are Gran Via Productions, Round Two Productions, Pali Eyes Pictures, and AMC Studios.

Season 3 will most likely be released in late 2026. The first two seasons of the show are streaming on AMC+.
