Apple TV announced the premiere date for Hijack Season 2 back in October 2025, with a teaser, and has now released another teaser, reminding fans of the terror that took over Flight KA29 in Season 1. This new teaser reminds one of the main theme of the show, and how Sam Nelson is yet again going to be involved in a dangerous hijacking situation.

The upcoming season will follow Sam as he gets involved in a train hijacking in an underground train in Berlin, and has to face yet another terrifying situation. The new teaser seems like a warning, that even though this time, the story is set in a different mode of transport, the danger is equally terrifying.

Everything we know about Hijack Season 2

Created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith, Hijack Season 1 ended with the plane successfully landing at RAF Northolt after Amanda, a hidden hijacker, took control of the cockpit and was guided by air traffic control to make a rough but survivable landing. On the ground, Daniel's team successfully rescued Kai from the cleaners, and all the main hijackers were caught. The season ended with Sam re-entering the plane and facing a final confrontation with Stuart, who had escaped his restraints, before the military intervened and took Stuart into custody. Technically, that chapter of Sam's life is over, but hijacking situations seem to keep finding him, as Apple TV reminded viewers of Season 2 with a post on X with the caption,

Brace for turbulence.
Catch up on #Hijack before Season 2 premieres January 14.

The new teaser features a video of an airplane's aisle, with Sam Nelson's voice saying,

"So now you listen to me. This hijack is over. It's over! We have a different problem. A bigger problem. We've got less than an hour to fix it. Got it?"

The audio is dialogues said by Idris Elba as Sam Nelson back in Season 1 finale, Brace, Brace, Brace. He was referring to Amanda taking over the cockpit and the other hijackers having no idea who she was. What followed was Sam neutralizing the situation yet again, and making sure Amanda landed the plane safely. The teaser reminds viewers of the last minute twists and we will likely have a few of those in Hijack Season 2 as well.

The official logline of Hijack Season 2, according to Apple TV, is,

In the thrilling second season of “Hijack,” a Berlin underground train and its commuters are taken hostage, while authorities scramble to save hundreds of lives. Sam Nelson (Elba) is at the heart of the crisis on board, where one wrong decision could spell disaster.
