The Buccaneers Season 2 ended with quite the cliffhanger on August 6, 2025. The second season began on June 18, 2025, and almost gave fans what they wanted: Lizzy and Theo ending up together. The show follows five young women who belong to new-money families of the American Gilded Age. But their lives become complicated when they arrive in London during the debutante season to find suitable grooms. They face a different society and its challenges while also battling personal issues.

While The Buccaneers has been widely popular since its first release in 2023, a third season wasn't greenlit immediately after the second season ended. But now, on October 8, 2025, Apple TV+ has finally renewed The Buccaneers for Season 3, as they announced in a post on Instagram.

Apple TV+ renews The Buccaneers Season 3

Following the Season 2 cliffhanger, it is safe to say that fans eagerly want to know how Nan, Theo, and Lizzy's lives will turn out. Fortunately, The Buccaneers is returning for a third season, as Apple TV announced via an Instagram post with the caption,

Tintagel is abuzz. The Buccs will be back.

The Buccaneers Season 2 ended with Duke Theo abdicating his title during Nan's masquerade ball. While it was shocking news to everyone, an even more appealing announcement that Theo made that night was that he was going to divorce Nan and marry Lizzy. But things do not go so smoothly because Nan reveals she's pregnant with Theo's child. To protect her child, Nan leaves with her mother and sister. Lizzy is left confused, given the complicated circumstances, and following Theo's abdication, Theo's half-brother, Kit, is enlisted to be the next Duke. Thus, Season 3 will tell us if Nan and Theo will really divorce or stay together for the sake of their coming child. Besides, what happens to Lizzy and Theo's plans of being together is yet to be known.

The show stars Kristine Froseth as Annabel St. George, aka Nan, Aubri Ibrag as Elizabeth Elmsworth, aka Lizzy, Alisha Boe as Conchita Closson, Josie Totah as Mabel Elmsworth, and Imogen Waterhouse as Virginia St. George, aka Jinny.
