The Studio, which was released on Apple TV+ on 26th March 2025, has broken records with its Emmy Nominations. The new Apple TV+ comedy series has broken the record set by Ted Lasso in 2021.

In 2021, Ted Lasso set the record for having the most nominations in its first year as a comedy series by getting twenty nominations and winning seven. The Studio has bagged twenty-three nominations in its first year, overthrowing Ted Lasso.

The Studio makes a record with the highest nominations as a new comedy series

The Studio has not only managed to bag twenty-three nominations for the Emmys 2025, but it has also done that in its first year. It is now tied with The Bear as the highest nominations received by a comedy series in a single year. The Bear received twenty-three nominations in 2024 and won eleven.

In addition to that, The Studio has surpassed the most nominations received by a comedy series in its first year by bagging more nominations than Ted Lasso did in its first year. In 2021, Ted Lasso scored twenty nominations in its first year, and The Studio has managed to score three more.

Ted Lasso won seven of the twenty categories it was nominated for, and now only time will time if The Studio can surpass that record. The Bear set the record last year by winning the most Emmys as a comedy series when it won in eleven categories. It will be interesting to see if The Studio can manage to surpass that record as well.
