Hui-su tries hard to raise the funds. She pawns all of her personal jewelry. This effort is not enough to meet the demand. So she decides to put her apartment and her mother’s house on sale at a loss. Jang Kang cannot reach Hui-su, so he forces Eun-su into the scheme. Jang Kang’s actions continue to raise the stakes in As You Stood By.

Meanwhile, the police begin to investigate the dead security guard. Jeong-suk believes Hui-su is responsible for the killing. She pushes Jin-young to investigate Hui-su’s actions further. Jin-young spots Jang Kang in the parking lot.

She deletes the video to protect her own career background check. She also destroys the guard's notes on Hui-su to shield her family. Eun-su promises Hui-su that she will help fix things. But Jang Kang toys with Eun-su, raising the ransom to 3.1 billion won.
