After WeTV released episode 6 of Love After Lockup Season 6, Ashley was criticized by the fans for continuing to pursue a relationship with Julius in spite of their troubled past.
Viewers were reminded that Ashley had first catfished Julius by posing as someone else during their initial discussions, which they claim should have put a halt to things right away. This, in turn, heightened the reaction.
Even though Julius had previously stated that he didn't envision a romantic future with Ashley, she looks devastated in the latest episode as he picks Alexis over her. Despite all the warning indicators, her passionate response provoked condemnation on social media. Supporters criticized her for being unable to leave and called her actions desperate.
Social media was flooded with fans continuously calling out Ashley, not only for being delusional about her relationship with Julius but also for catfishing him when he was in prison. Many even criticised her getting too emotional after Julius picked Ashley, knowing that he was in a three-way thing.

When Julius made it apparent that he was picking Alexis over Ashley in Love After Lockup Season 6 Episode 6, he finally put an end to the love triangle. Given how estranged he had become from Ashley in previous episodes, particularly after discovering she had catfished him, his choice wasn't entirely unexpected.
However, Alexis' devotion to Julius throughout his darkest moments was what made the deal final.
"I'm choosing Alexis over Ashley because Alexis, she loyal told me when I was in prison that everybody that was so-called **** with me or like family, friends, any of that, she supported me more than anybody."
Julius appeared confident in his decision despite the controversy, and Alexis appeared similarly dedicated to supporting him after his release.
