Bad Monkey, the Apple TV+ television series based on Carl Hiaasen's novel of the same name, has cast John Malkovich as a series regular for season two. The show was released on 14th August 2025, and then renewed for a second season in December 2024.
Season one followed Andrew Yancy, who used to be a police officer but now conducts restaurant inspections. But when tourists in the Florida Keys find a severed arm while fishing, Andrew takes an interest. He is keen on proving that a murder took place to revive his career as a police officer, and thus decides to investigate. What he did not anticipate was the world of corruption he would be thrust into because of his investigation.
While season one of Bad Monkey followed the novel, season two will be based on a new original story. As Deadline reports, John Malkovich will be joining season two of the show as a main character.
