“Badge of honor”: Lili Reinhart opens up on her Riverdale Fame and why she has no problem with it

It cannot be denied that Riverdale became a fan favorite show for millions of fans all around the world. The show’s focus was mainly on the residents of Riverdale and how they navigated through life. Amongst the many characters, the fun-loving girl-next-door, Betty Cooper, definitely leaves a mark. In a recent interview, she opens up about her fame from Riverdale and why she has no problem being associated with Betty Cooper constantly.

However, this is not the case for Lili Reinhart and rightfully so. Lili Reinhart worked hard for her role as Betty Cooper in Riverdale. She refused to make Betty one-dimensional. Through the seven seasons, Betty’s character constantly developed.

From being a teenager having a crush on her best friend to running her own Magazine, she has come a long way. All the credit for making Betty’s character such a heartwarming one goes to Lili Reinhart. In the interview, she says,

“I love Betty. It’s something that I wear like a badge of honor. It’s like, ‘Yeah, I was on a show that was beloved and crazy.’ So I have great pride in it.”

Her words truly denote the significance of Betty’s character and Riverdale has in her life. Through every season of the series, she hones her talent as an actor. Though she feels pride in being associated with the series, it cannot be denied that her other works are equally intriguing. While some actors find it difficult to break free from a “typecast,” Lili Reinhart can seamlessly embody any role she plays.

Be it Betty Cooper in the series or Daisy Moriarty in American Sweetshop, she does it all with perfection. Rather, her distinct gratitude towards the series shows an acceptance and appreciation that she has built with the viewers through her character.

After Riverdale ended, Lili Reinhart’s career trajectory has been on the rise. She has been booked and busy working tirelessly towards making movies and TV shows. It truly shows the talent and versatility she brings forth. American Sweetshop is a mystery thriller and is much different from Riverdale. This movie takes the viewers into a tense atmosphere.

Lili Reinhart’s character depiction of Daisy Moriarty shows us how easily she is able to transition from one role to another and bring a distinct, nuanced look to it. She is also working on a new movie, The Love Hypothesis, which is based on a famous novel of the same name.
