Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler’s brainchild, Banshee, is a thrilling crime drama filled with a multitude of plot twists that will keep you hooked. The story focuses on how a man with a stolen identity begins to reside in a town to save himself from the dangers of his past actions.
This new town is also filled with many complications that he has to face now that he has achieved a completely different identity. Crimes rise and action ensues; each and every aspect of Banshee is worth investing your time in. 1) Antony Starr as the man who takes on the identity of Lucas Hood
Before Antony Starr became Homelander, he took on the identity of Lucas Hood in Banshee. Antony Starr’s character takes on Lucas Hood’s identity to start anew. Coming out of prison after a long 15 years has put his life in disarray.
Though he wants to have a fresh start, he is dragged back into the complex web of lies, deceit, and crime. He ends up becoming a crucial part of it all. The series comes to life through Antony Starr’s compelling performance, undoubtedly. 3) Ulrich Thomsen as Kai Proctor
Ulrich Thomsen’s Kai Proctor becomes a thorn in Hood’s path in the series. Right from Hood’s arrival in the town, Kai’s criminal activities begin to create complications that Hood has to solve. On the surface, Kai is a wealthy businessman. However, under the surface, he is a man who would not stop at anything to achieve his goals.
Ulrich Thomsen brings a distinct level of intimidating factor to Kai Proctor’s character. This makes him even more intriguing. Some of Thomsen’s works that depict his dedication towards the craft are Blekingegade, The Blacklist, Counterpart, Trom, and many more.
4) Frankie Faison as Sugar Bates
Frankie Faison’s Sugar Bates is a crucial part of the whole storyline as he is aware of Hood’s true identity. As a former boxer and ex-con himself, his wavelength matches well with Hood. Frankie Faison never joins a project without bringing his A-game.
His performance in this TV show is proof of his talent in bringing realism to any character that he takes on. Besides this TV show, some of his other works include True Colors, Prey, The Wire, The Rookie: Feds, etc.
5) Hoon Lee as Job
Hoon Lee’s Job is a computer hacking genius with a flair for cross-dressing. Just like Hood, his past is also connected with Mr. Rabbit, for whom he has to take the path of escape.
Running away from Mr. Rabbit brings him to the town of Banshee, where he, along with Hood, joins hands for criminal activities. Hoon Lee’s best works besides this series include Warrior, See, Outcast, and many more.
6) Lili Simmons as Rebecca Bowman
Lili Simmons’s Rebecca Bowman becomes an accomplice of Kai Proctor. She helps him through the world of crime and later becomes a crucial part of it all. Lili Simmons perfectly captures the multilayered character of Rebecca Bowman.
