Barry is a black comedy crime drama series that aired on HBO from 2018 to 2023. It follows a former US Marine who is now a hitman and wants to lead a life different from the one he's living. But circumstances force him to live a life of violence.

Barry follows Barry Berkman, a US Marine turned hitman who grapples with guilt, isolation, and the trauma of his violent past. When he's sent to Los Angeles for a job, he stumbles into an acting class and unexpectedly discovers a passion for acting. Acting offers him an escape and a chance at a different life, but his criminal past continuously threatens to resurface. The show stars Bill Hader as the protagonist, Barry Berkman. Bill Hader is a well-known actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, and director. While he is most popular for his performance in Saturday Night Live, Hader has also played Brian Bretter in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), played Richie Tozier in It Chapter Two (2019), voiced Fear in Inside Out (2015), and will voice The Cat in The Cat in the Hat (2026).
