Beast Games Season 2 Episode 1: 100 Strongest contestants face a brutal strength challenge in the season opener

Beast Games Season 2 premiered on January 7, 2025. The first episode of the reality show started with 200 players. They were divided into two groups. 100 were the strongest ones, while the rest were the smartest ones.

The first strength challenge was for the 100 strongest players. For that, the platform moved up. The players had to climb down through the trapdoor. After grabbing a few blocks, they had to climb up and stack them in a specific order.

Beast Games Season 2: What happened during the first strength challenge?

Beast Games Season 2 introduced 200 players in the first episode. They competed in two groups to move closer to winning the grand prize. These groups were the smartest and the strongest.

The first challenge was for the strongest 100 participants. Mr Beast announced that on top of the $5 million, which was the prize pot, they were also giving away additional millions of prize dollars in prizes.

After all the 200 players were introduced, the smartest 100 were asked to leave the stage. It was because the first challenge was for the strongest 100 players.

"Because for this first game, we are going to cut the 100 strong in half," announced Mr Beast.

From the 100 strongest, only 50 players would advance to the next round. Soon, the platform they were all standing on started to rise. Everyone was surprised to witness that.

Soon, Mr Beast announced the first challenge and how it would be taking place in that heightened platform:

"The first game will be taking place far down below you. But how are you going to get all the way down there? What could it be?" asked Mr Beast.

He then announced the opening of the trap doors. Soon, each of the players saw a trap door nearby each of them, opening down. Players had to climb down and grab the blocks attached to the weight.

"Your objective is to climb to the bottom of the pole below you. Grab the rope with your custom weight attached to it, hoist it up to you, pull the blocks off the weight, and without failing, return to the surface with the blocks and stack them in the color order I tell you," Beast Games host announced.

If anyone were to fall down, they would be eliminated. The first 50 players to grab the blocks from below and stack them in the correct order on the surface would advance further in the competition. They would move to the Beast City.

Beast Games' Mr Beast announced the color pattern for the blocks. It was: yellow, red, blue, green. The first challenge started. Everyone started to climb down through their trapdoors to grab their blocks.

While the strongest 100 climbed down and were pulling the weight, the smartest 100 players were observing. Beast Games' announcer noted that some of them could even lift cars. Some of them were Ninja Warrior champions.

It took a minute and a half for the first player to climb up with the blocks and stack them in the correct order. Within two minutes, sixteen players had already completed the first challenge.

However, it was not easy for everyone. Some of the participants struggled to finish it. One of the co-hosts noted that the players were "falling like flies." Soon, 45 of the 100 strongest players completed the task. 14 were still climbing up.

After 20 minutes, two players were still holding on and trying to climb back. At last, a total of 49 players completed the task. They advanced to Beast City.
