Canadian actor Hudson Williams, the breakout star of HBO Max's record-breaking romance series Heated Rivalry, appeared in an episode of CBS Tracker in March 2025. The 25-year-old actor plays the shy Canadian Captain of his Metro Montreals in the six-episode series, which became HBO Max's top debut for an acquired, non-animated title since the platform's launch and Crave's most-watched original series.

Heated Rivalry follows the decade-long secret fling between two star hockey players and arch-Rivals, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), which eventually develops into a meaningful relationship.

After Williams and Storrie's breakout success, fans discovered that the former actor appeared in an episode of Tracker, CBS' drama series starring Justin Hartley.

More on this in our story.

Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams appeared in an episode of Tracker Season 2

As Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams continues to unlock new levels of stardom, fans are discovering his past works. As his short films continue to gain traction online, fans have now discovered that Williams guest-starred in an episode of CBS's action thriller series, Tracker, in March 2025.

Hudson Williams appeared in the ninth episode of Tracker Season 2 titled The Disciple, which was also the mid-season premiere (of the sophomore season) of the Hartley-led series. The Heated Rivalry star played Brandon Stokes, a kid who gets kidnapped by The Teacher, a traveling anesthesiologist and serial killer who recruited young men to abduct women. While the episode is a standalone entry, it closed one of the most harrowing cold cases for Colter Shaw, the disappearance of Gina Pickett.

Hudson Williams' character is first abducted by the Teacher when he is out for a grocery run at night. As Brandon talks to his mother on the phone, his car is gassed up by a mysterious man sitting in the back seat with a mask and he is abducted. Later, Brandon wakes up in a secluded place, frightened and confused. Fans are applauding Williams' brief appearance in Tracker Season 2, saying his performance proves he’s long had the talent that’s finally getting its due. Brandon dies in the end as one of the Teacher's disciples shoots him in the head, before Colter could save him.

The Disciple also revealed that Gina Pickett was also abducted by one of The Teacher's recruiters and was tragically killed. This information, albeit tragic, provided Colter with much-needed closure and he finally moved on from this cold case.

Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams continues to enjoy breakout success

Williams' guest stint in Tracker Season 2 proves that while the actor had humble beginnings, he has now become a breakthrough star. Ever since Heated Rivalry's debut, Williams and Storrie's popularity continues to grow as the six-episode hockey show has catapulted their careers to new heights.

Recently, Hudson Williams appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where a sea of fans welcomed him with open arms and hearts. The actor addressed the overwhelming fan reaction online, revealing that the stars haven't even had any time to process their overnight fame. Williams also revealed that before Heated Rivalry (just eight months ago), he was waiting tables at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Canada. The actor reflected on how his life has taken a complete 360-degree turn after his breakout role as Shane Hollander.

While Heated Rivalry is confirmed for Season 2, Williams and Storrie continue to work together and make heartwarming appearances in interviews. The stars recently recorded a three-episode romantasy sm*t titled Ember & Ice for the erotica audio platform Quinn, which has already garnered 2 million total plays on the app.
