According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Beth and Rip's Yellowstone spin-off series has finally been given a working title, which is a fitting tribute to the Dutton legacy.
Taylor Sheridan's flagship series, which ended after five successful seasons following star Kevin Costner's controversial exit, is far from over, as many spin-offs are in progress.
After the conclusion of the Harrison Ford-starring 1923 with Season 2, Sheridan is reportedly working on four (or more) spin-off series, which include 1944, Kayce's spin-off, Beth-Rip's spin-off, and The Madison.
According to the circulating rumors, Sheridan has finally settled on a working title for Kelly Rilley and Cole Hauser's Beth-Rip spin-off series as Dutton Ranch. The title is a direct tribute to Yellowstone and the Dutton legacy, which is expected to premiere on Paramount+ this fall.
Another spin-off, The Madison, starring Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer, will follow a New York family as they attempt to start their lives anew in Montana. Yellowstone's Kayce's spin-off series will likely premiere on CBS.
More on Beth and Rip's spin-off in our story.
Beth and Rip's Yellowstone spin-off is reportedly titled Dutton Ranch
While Sheridan gave Beth and Rip their perfect conclusion in Yellowstone Season 5, it was also the beginning of a beautiful life. It was reported that the Season 5 finale was certainly not the last time we would hear from or see the couple, as Sheridan was working on a Beth and Rip spin-off series.
In the Season 5 finale, while Kayce asked for a part of the Dutton ranch for his family and settled there, Beth and Rip moved away from Paradise Valley.
After finalizing the Dutton ranch's deal with Rainwater, Beth reveals that she has purchased a working ranch for the couple 40 miles west of Dillon, Montana. While this would be smaller and different from their Dutton ranch, the couple agreed that this was the best way forward for them and Carter.
Since Rip was expected to represent the new age of cowboys, the conclusion sets his future arc perfectly, one where he will likely lead a peaceful life with Beth and teach Carter about the cowboy lifestyle.
While the working title of Dutton Ranch is not yet official, it makes perfect sense for Beth and Rip's spin-off series, as it will follow the continuation of the Dutton legacy and the couple's journey after the Yellowstone finale.
Rilley and Hauser have also hinted at the Yellowstone spin-off
Yellowstone stars have been hinting and teasing fans for quite some time now. In an interview with Collider, Rilley expressed her desire to continue her Western saga:
''Until Taylor Sheridan comes to us both—he’s written every single word we’ve said for seven years—and he’s inspired to write something for us, then great. And if not, this is a beautiful ending.”
She also responded positively to a fan's comment inquiring about a potential Beth-Rip spin-off on Instagram.
In addition, Hauser also teased the spin-off when asked by People Magazine:
“Hopefully, we can continue to get in people’s living rooms and entertain them the way we have over the last seven years.”
