Popular neo-noir legal drama Better Call Saul premiered in 2015 and ran for 6 seasons and wrapping up in 2022. The Breaking Bad spinoff follows the story of Jimmy McGill and his descent to becoming the infamous criminal attorney Saul Goodman.

Bob Odenkirk, who first played the character in the original series, returns for the spinoff along with a stellar cast whose performance made the show one of the renowned legal dramas globally.

1) Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill/ Saul Goodman

Odenkirk played the character of Jimmy McGill in Better Call Saul. He is introduced as a small con artist and later as an earnest lawyer who wanted to prove himself in front of his brother, Chuck McGill. However, as the series progressed, we encountered Jimmy turning into the side of the criminal world and later becoming Saul Goodman.

Apart from earning numerous accolades for his role in the legal drama, the American actor is also known for appearing in Breaking Bad, where his character originated. He was also part of other popular shows such as Fargo, Undone, and The Bear.


2) Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler

Seehorn's character, Kim Wexler, is among the most important characters in the show, as she is often considered the moral compass in Jimmy's life when he entangles himself in the criminal world. She was introduced as an ambitious lawyer, who, throughout the series, was dealing with the inner conflict of whether to follow the path of justice or the thrill of conning with Jimmy.

The American actress has appeared in TV shows such as I'm with Her and American Dad!. Currently, Seehorn is playing the role of Carol in Gilligan's latest series, Pluribus.


3) Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut

Another crucial character in the legal drama is Jonathan Banks' Mike Ehrmantraut. He is a disgraced former cop who gets entangled in criminal activities to provide financial support to his daughter-in-law and granddaughter. However, as the series progresses, Mike gets further consumed by the darkness as he gets closer to the Salamanca Cartel.

The multitalented American actor has previously appeared in Wiseguy, Fired Up, Breaking Bad, and Community, among numerous others.


4) Michael McKean as Chuck McGill

McKean played Jimmy's older brother, Chuck, in the legal drama. He was the founder of the law firm, HMM, and strictly believed in the law. Throughout the series, Chuck and Jimmy had a complicated relationship as Jimmy tried to prove his worth in the eyes of his brother, and Chuck tried to undermine his efforts due to jealousy and resentment toward him.

McKean has previously appeared in Laverne & Shirley, Grand, The X-Files, and The Diplomat, among several others.


5) Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin

Patrick Fabian's character, Howard Hamlin, was one of the founders of HHM in Better Call Saul. He was considered one of the enemies of Jimmy who wanted to sabotage his career. However, it is later learned that he was working against Jimmy due to the latter's older brother, Chuck.

The talented American actor appeared in Saved by the Bell: The College Years, Veronica Mars, Valentine, and Special.


6) Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring

Introduced in Season 3, Esposito's Gus Fring was a restaurateur and owned Los Pollos Hermanos, which he used to distribute cocaine and was in cooperation with Samanca family, whom he resented. He was trying to pull himself out of cocaine distribution and join the methamphetamine business to cut all his ties with the cartel.

Esposito has also appeared in popular shows such as Dear White People, Better Call Saul, The Boys, and The Residence.
