In a recent post-eviction interview, Clifton "Will" Williams, who was eliminated in Week 9 of Big Brother 27, talked candidly about the individuals in the house whom he found particularly exhausting. After Keanu Soto gained safety in the BB Blockbuster task, Will, a retired Army veteran and one of the more grounded houseguests, was voted out in a narrow 3-2 vote, leaving Will and Ashley Hollis vulnerable to eviction.
Will acknowledged that he "tuned out" some of his housemates, particularly when their conduct felt staged or too talkative, but he also expressed gratitude for his time there and the bonds he formed. He specifically mentioned Vinny and Morgan Pope for annoying him, saying that their incessant chitchat and gaming talk made it difficult for him to concentrate.
Even though Will knew that being boisterous and aggressive was a part of the game, those moments tried his tolerance. He argued that he respected a lot of them and was departing with few regrets, despite the stress.
When drama flared, Will thought about his role as an older houseguest and said he frequently felt he could provide perspective and calm. He hopes that people will see his tuning out as self-preservation rather than judgment and that his eviction won't overwhelm the sincere connections he made with others, particularly Kelley and Ava.
Who did Will "tune out" from Big Brother 27 and why
Morgan Pope & Vinny — Loud, strategic, and sometimes too much
The two Big Brother 27 houseguests, Will, mentally separated himself from the most frequent ones, which were Vinny Panaro and Morgan Pope. In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, he claimed that their rapid shifting of alliances, excessive analysis, and frequent game chatter made it hard for him to concentrate. According to him, their conversation was not always hostile but more exaggerated; it seemed like two individuals were constantly "on," planning, and never letting things sit.
He added that it occasionally seemed like the topics of conversation with them were the same: how to play the jury, who to backdoor, and who to nominate. That meant that Will turned to tune out as a coping strategy. For extended periods, Big Brother's Morgan and Vinny's obvious enthusiasm, which was frequently useful for creating drama and maintaining strategy, became draining.
The balance between drama & respect
Will was cautious to distinguish between annoyance and disrespect, even when he called out those he ignored. Because Morgan and Vinny are "good at the game," he underlined, their actions were a part of the arena, which is a component of Big Brother 27. He acknowledged that he was occasionally less receptive to continuous plotting due to his advanced age and slower pace.
Will, however, refrained from placing blame on specific people for what he perceived to be group dynamics. He claimed that he ignored people, not actions. He commended Kelley and Ava Pearl, two Mountain Housemates, for their steadiness and kindness. He added that he hoped his criticisms would be seen as an exploration of what it's like to be someone who plays more inwardly and values honesty over continual social manipulation rather than as sour grapes.
