As it enters its last week, Big Brother 27 is making changes to its broadcast schedule. Host Julie Chen Moonves announced major adjustments to episode times and lengths with just five houseguests left, which fans should be aware of so they don't miss the excitement.

Several episodes will broadcast later than usual, some will be longer, and special event episodes will be substituted for regular programming. These are some of the largest changes. These changes coincide with the football season, other live events, and the TV premieres in October, all of which are putting pressure on CBS's schedule.

Beginning in the next episodes, fans should expect later times or delays on some nights. The show's regular nights are Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday, at 8/7c. While the finale is still set for today (Sunday, September 28), it will air later in the evening at 8:30/7:30 pm instead of the usual 8/7c and run for a full half-hour longer than normal. By doing so, Big Brother 27 can end its summer season with optimal exposure as well as avoid going head-to-head with some other heavy hitters.

What the schedule changes mean for Big Brother 27 viewers

Big Brother 27 schedule changes impact who can watch live, when spoilers are released, and how momentum builds in the last few minutes. They also impact more than just time on screen. Watchers of live feeds notice fewer overlaps as start timings shift or episodes run longer.

Now, viewers can be caught off guard by evictions and shocks that are set for specific evenings. These modifications may result in the loss of important gameplay or social drama for fans who tune in based on habit.

The specific time slot adjustments

On the September 18 episode, Julie Chen Moonves unveiled the new schedule for the rest of Big Brother 27. Among the highlights are- an already delayed September 21 Sunday show that will start at 10/9c after football, and a Special eviction on September 24, Wednesday.

This one follows a two-hour Survivor premiere, again with live feed canceled for both dates; another eviction night on Thursday, September 25 that will air at the regular 8/7c time but extended to 90 minutes; and a 90-minute finale on Sunday, September 28, that will air at 8:30/7:30c instead of the regular start time.

Some episodes will no longer adhere to the conventional 60-minute format as a result of these changes, particularly when they coincide with significant network events. In Big Brother 27's late game, where live events and major sports broadcasts necessitate scheduling revisions, such changes are uncommon but not unheard of.

Why the changes were made & what viewers should do

Fall TV premieres, football games, and the network's desire to balance its programming roster are some of the outside factors that mostly influenced CBS's decision to alter the schedule. When Big Brother 27 airs late into September, clashing activities frequently result in delayed start times.

Setting reminders, following official social media accounts, and monitoring local listings are ways for viewers to stay vigilant. Those who view live feeds should be prepared for interruptions or changes.

Given its 90-minute duration, the finale might have more material than shorter evictions, such as jury votes, wrap-ups, and perhaps additional video. Additionally, those who are following the game through online summaries or spoilers may find that updates come later than usual due to time slot adjustments.
