Jimmy Heagerty’s Head of Household reign in Big Brother 27 is unraveling fast. After promising last week to take down Keanu Soto, Jimmy secured the HOH title, aiming to prove his strategic dominance.

But instead of executing a clean power move, his week spiraled into chaos, ending with three of the game’s least-threatening players sitting on the block. The Big Brother house was rocked by the exposure of secret powers, strategic misfires, and house tension, including a confrontation involving Rachel Reilly over bathroom habits.

As Week 2 continues, the competition remains fierce with multiple veto wins, sudden nominee switches, and brewing alliances forming behind the scenes. With powers still in play and several players reevaluating loyalties, Jimmy’s HOH week has inadvertently shifted the game’s momentum.

Big Brother 27: Inside Jimmy’s turbulent HOH and the rise of secret powers

Jimmy Heagerty entered the second week of Big Brother 27 determined to make a big move. Following his outburst at the veto meeting in Week 1, when he interrupted proceedings to target Keanu Soto, Jimmy followed up by winning Head of Household. The victory, which aired the week of July 15, 2025, allowed him to back up his public threats with nominations.

Jimmy initially nominated Keanu Soto, Kelley Jorgensen, and Adrian Rocha. Keanu was the primary target, based on Jimmy’s prior statements. Kelley, suspected of holding a power, was placed to prevent her from saving Keanu. Adrian was designated a pawn. However, the week quickly went off track.

Kelley confessed to having a secret veto power and was still placed on the block. Meanwhile, Keanu utilized his competition reward — a power that let him bring in a former Big Brother winner — to double his chances in the veto.

Keanu selected Big Brother 20 champion Kaycee Clark, who ultimately won the Power of Veto on his behalf. This twist shifted the dynamic, forcing Jimmy to nominate Amy Bingham as a replacement.

Soon after, Kelley successfully used her power by winning a solo competition to earn a second veto, removing herself from the block. Jimmy then named Cliffton “Will” Williams as a fifth nominee.

As of now, the final nominees for the week are Will, Amy, and Adrian — none of whom were part of Jimmy’s original target strategy. Jimmy’s attempt to eliminate a strong competitor ultimately resulted in nominating three less threatening houseguests, raising concerns about the effectiveness of his gameplay.

Another power also came into focus. Mickey Lee, who has the ability to steal an HOH, has not used her power yet.

Although Mickey only disclosed her power to her closest ally Morgan Pope, speculation about her twist has spread throughout the house. Rachel, Will, Amy, Zach Cornell, and Adrian have all discussed the possibility that Mickey holds the final power, potentially weakening its effectiveness.

Additionally, Zach Cornell continues to quietly hold a $10,000 secret from night one, which allows him to buy safety from eviction. Though many houseguests are unaware of this advantage, it could shift the week’s outcome if used.

Zach has shown restraint and has told no one, maintaining his low-profile strategy. During conversations with the girls, who are trying to save Amy over Adrian, Zach whispered to the cameras,

“I need Adrian in this game.”

The Big Brother house remains tense as eviction approaches, with players unsure of where loyalties stand and whether remaining secret powers will be used.

Rachel’s confrontation sparks tension over house chores

Rachel Reilly, a former Big Brother winner and current houseguest, sparked conflict in the Big Brother 27 house this week over cleaning duties. The confrontation occurred after Ashley Hollis shared how much she enjoys cleaning her bathroom at home. Rachel responded,

“That’s funny, because here you don’t.”

Ashley was visibly upset and later told Amy Bingham, while lying in the hammock, that “[Rachel] can go next.” The exchange marked one of the week’s most notable personal confrontations and added tension to an already volatile environment.

Big Brother 27 airs on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT on CBS.
