Oklahoma City Thunder guard Alex Caruso and reality Big Brother's Haleigh Broucher exchanged vows Saturday at The Astorian in Houston, Texas. NBA champion Alex Caruso married former reality TV contestant Haleigh Broucher in a wedding ceremony this week. The 31-year-old basketball player and his 28-year-old bride were joined in celebration by fellow athletes and reality personalities.

The wedding occurred just weeks after Caruso won his second NBA title. He helped the Oklahoma City Thunder overcome the Indiana Pacers to win the 2025 title. His first championship came with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.

Broucher appeared on CBS's Big Brother during its twentieth season in 2018. She finished in seventh place out of 16 contestants. She was also named runner-up for America's Favourite Houseguest that year.

The couple's event gathered celebrities from both professional sports and television entertainment. She later founded the swimwear brand Evoke while pursuing advanced psychology education.

The couple's relationship began at Texas A&M University but remained private until 2022. They announced their engagement through Instagram posts in August 2024 before tying the knot in Houston. Wedding guests included Thunder teammates Chet Holmgren, Jaylin Williams, and Isaiah Hartenstein, along with former Bulls colleagues and Big Brother alumni. Their union represents a crossover between the professional sports and reality television entertainment worlds.

Big Brother’s Haleigh Broucher and Alex Caruso’s journey so far

Caruso and Broucher originally met at Texas A&M University but did not start dating until years later. They followed different occupations before reconnecting in 2022. Their shared experience at university laid the groundwork for the relationship, which they kept mostly private in its early stages. Broucher moved to Chicago in 2020 to start her PhD studies in industrial and organisational psychology at Northern Illinois University. Caruso was then a part of the Chicago Bulls, so they had plenty of time to be together.

By 2022, they'd made their relationship public, with sporadic glimpses on social media. Broucher documented game-day experiences with Caruso while maintaining her own career focus and educational pursuits.

Broucher's television career began with Big Brother Season 20, in which she competed against 15 other houseguests for the top prize. Her cunning skill and charisma won over viewers, propelling her to second place in America's Favourite Houseguest.

Following her reality television experience, she founded Evoke Swimwear and established herself as a fashion entrepreneur. Her Instagram following expanded to 266,000, bolstering both her commercial initiatives and brand collaborations.

Her academic pursuits continued alongside her entertainment and business interests. She earned a psychology degree from Texas A&M before advancing to doctoral studies. Her Instagram bio currently indicates ongoing PhD work in her chosen field.

Caruso's 2024–25 season with Oklahoma City culminated in NBA championship glory, his second title following his 2020 Lakers victory. The Thunder's championship run provided a celebratory backdrop for the couple's wedding planning process.

Broucher publicly supported Caruso's championship journey, posting celebratory messages on social media. Her June Instagram post declared, “The double champ does what tf he wants!” while expressing pride in his achievement and the Thunder organization.

The wedding guest list reflected both their professional worlds. Thunder teammates attended alongside former Bulls players like Coby White and Javonte Green. Reality television was represented by Big Brother alumna Angela Rummans and other entertainment industry friends.

What lies ahead for the couple?

The newlyweds face the challenge of juggling demanding careers in several fields. Caruso has an NBA career average of 6.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in eight seasons. His involvement with the defending champion Thunder sets him up for more success.

Broucher manages multiple professional interests, including her swimwear business, doctoral studies, and potential entertainment opportunities. Her varied portfolio suggests business aspirations beyond her reality television background.

Big Brother airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on CBS, with streaming available on Paramount+.
