Big Brother Season 27 Episode 31 Recap: While Rachel reflects on her journey, housemates face a live elimination

CBS aired Big Brother Season 27 Episode 31 on September 11, 2025. The latest episode of the reality show featured a Veto ceremony, a BB Blockbuster, and a live elimination.

Things were tense after Keanu was chosen as the replacement nominee. However, he won the BB Blockbuster and saved himself. Further in the episode, show host Julie Chen Moonves had a chat with Rachel Reilly while housemates voted off Will.

Before leaving the reality show, Will shared his thoughts on who he would want to win the show and who would probably win it.

Big Brother Season 27 Episode 31 Recap: After Keanu gets chosen as a replacement nominee, he wins the BB Blockbuster while Rachel talks to the show host

The recently released Big Brother Season 27 episode started with the remaining housemates. This included Ava, Ashley, Kelley, Keanu, Lauren, Morgan, Vince, and Will. Originally nominated housemates for the week were Ashley, Will, and Morgan.

However, with a Veto, Morgan was safe, and Keanu was chosen as the replacement nominee. Hence, he would go through the BB Blockbuster along with Ashley and Will. Housemate Vince found himself in a difficult situation between Morgan and Lauren.

While the current Head of Household (HOH), Lauren, has been spending more time with him, Morgan has also gotten quite closer to him over time. But Vince's actions from the recent White Locust challenge led him to a difficult situation between the two. Morgan also told him that his being with Lauren has been "extremely hurtful" for her.

Additionally, after HOH Lauren chose Keanu as the replacement nominee for the week, the two were not on good terms with each other. It was because he told her that he would be targeting her along with Vince and Morgan, in the next week.

While housemates faced such situations, recently eliminated housemate Rachel Reilly talked to the Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves. She talked about Ava, Vince, and how things have been with her in the house. Rachel also recalled the elimination task, where she wanted to go first. At the time, she had a flashback of her previous times in the BB House, and that led to her being in a panic.

Rachel also shared her thoughts on Keanu and that she respected his game and strategy. However, she referred to him as a "messy" contestant. She concluded her interview by stating that Big Brother was her favorite show and she was still a "huge fan" of the show.

Big Brother Season 27 Episode 31 Recap: BB Blockbuster followed by live elimination

In the house, nominated housemates Will, Ashley, and Keanu went through the BB Blockbuster called Key to Safety. For that, they were supposed to get themselves freed from a rope that was attached throughout a luggage cart. Will, with his injury, went through the task while Keanu faced issues because of his body structure. However, Keanu won the BB Blockbuster and saved himself from the upcoming elimination.

After Ashley and Will learned that, the two had been quite emotional. Because they knew one of them was going home. She was emotional. Will also couldn't speak much moments before the live elimination. With the majority of housemates, including Vince, Keanu, and Morgan, voting against Will, he was sent home.

Some of them, including Kelley and Ava, voted against Ashley. Seeing Will going home, Ava seemed more devastated among all the housemates. During his exit interview, Will talked about wanting Ava to win the game show. However, he added that Vince would probably win because he was able to "convince" anyone of "anything."
