Billy the Kid Season 3 premiered on MGM+ on September 28, 2025. The season will comprise eight episodes, with a new episode released every Sunday. The series finale is scheduled for release on November 23, 2025. All episodes will be dropped at 9 PM ET.

The season was confirmed as the final chapter of the Western drama by MGM+ in October 2024. It chronicles Billy the Kid’s journey after the Lincoln County War. He is now in a dilemma, as he can either start a new life with his love, Dulcinea, or continue down a violent path and potentially be hunted down by his former friend, Sheriff Pat Garrett. The official synopsis of the season reads:

“The Lincoln County War may be officially over, but both Billy the Kid and Sheriff Pat Garrett (Alex Roe) have important issues to resolve — there is a reckoning to come. Billy is still at large, and Garrett is out to capture him, dead or alive.”

“And with a bounty on his head, Billy has the opportunity to quit New Mexico altogether and pursue a future with Dulcinea, the love of his life. But he has unfinished business with Garrett, who has betrayed him, and decides to stay.”

The third season stars Tom Blyth in the titular role along with Alex Roe as Sheriff Pat Garrett, Daniel Webber as Jesse Evans, Nuria Vega as Dulcinea del Tobosco, Josh Cruddas as Fred Waite, Javier Lacroix as Juan Patrón, Pepe Johnson as Tom O'Folliard, and Zak Santiago as Sheriff Saturnino Baca.
