Netflix has some of the most popular thriller series, and Blood Coast (aka Pax Massilia) is one of them. The first chapter focused on Marseille’s criminal world in a quite raw and unpolished way, showing how flawed a police force could be.

And now, the stakes are even higher. Blood Coast Season 2 will make its way to Netflix on December 9, which is just a few hours away. So, fans must get ready to explore the rough neighborhoods, complex characters, and tough choices.

In the Season 1 finale, Lyès takes a bold step to lure Murillo out, but this reckless choice triggers a counterattack from Ali. At the same time, Internal Affairs begins putting serious pressure on Lyès’s team for their misconduct.

Just as everything is coming to a head, a major new piece of information surfaces and shifts the direction of the case entirely. Many viewers felt the finale didn’t tie up the plot threads properly. Some even said it felt as if the writers abandoned the original story in the last episode. But now, the series is returning for more action and thrill.

Action TV series enthusiasts must be waiting for Blood Coast Season 2, which is almost here. As shared above, the new season arrives tomorrow, Tuesday, December 9 only on Netflix.

Just like Season 1, this one will also have only six episodes. Though Blood Coast is a French thriller, Netflix offers the series in different audio and subtitles, making it easy for fans around the globe to enjoy the story.

Season 1 found a strong international audience after its release. And with the upcoming season expanding the scope and danger of the story, it’s clear Netflix sees the series as one of its standout French originals.

Season 2 starts in a completely changed situation. Lyès Benamar, who was always at the center of the team’s work, is now behind bars. His absence shakes up the balance of power in Marseille, opening the door for a new and much harsher gang to try taking control of the city’s drug trade.

With this new group pushing in, things become far more dangerous. Lyès’s team is left exposed, and the streets are even more unpredictable, forcing them to deal with threats they’re no longer protected from.

Blood Coast Season 2 brings back many of the actors who helped shape the show’s realistic style. Tewfik Jallab returns as Lyès, continuing the role that carries much of the story’s emotional weight.

Jeanne Goursaud is back as Alice Vidal, and Idir Azougli returns as Tatoo with the same fierce energy he had before. The cast also includes Olivier Barthélémy as Arno Cabella, Lani Sogoyou as Audrey Ilunga, Samir Boitard as Ali Saïdi, Nicolas Duvauchelle as Franck Murillo, and Florence Thomassin as Commissioner Fabiani.

And once again, the shooting for Season 2 took place in Marseille. This allowed the production team to capture a similar rough environment, packed with uncertainties.

The first season had already used many real locations like such as the Consolat area, Rue Mazenod, the Pelle Mêle Jazz Club, Carry-le-Rouet, L’Estaque, and Lambesc and the new season follows the same pattern.
