Bloodhounds Season 2, the next chapter of Netflix’s superhit K-drama, is one of the streaming giant’s most anticipated upcoming series. In season 1, Woo Do-hwan’s Geon-woo and Lee Sang-yi’s Woo-jin brought down one of the biggest loan sharks, the Smile Capital.
In Bloodhounds Season 2, the duo will deal with another new mission, which means new faces will be introduced. One of those exciting new actors joining the series is The Marvels’ star, Park Seo-joon. He is set to appear in a cameo role in the action K-drama.
More on this in our story.
The Marvels' Park Seo-joon is set to appear in Bloodhounds Season 2
It was recently confirmed that Park Seo-joon, known for his cameo roles in The Marvels and Parasite, will be seen doing a cameo in the new webtoon-based action K-drama. Bloodhounds Season 2 will be a reunion for him with director Kim Joo-hwa/Jason Kim, as they have worked in two films before Bloodhounds, namely: The Divine Fury and Midnight Runners.
Other than that, he will also be reunited with his co-star from The Divine Fury, Woo Do-hwan, who plays Geon-woo in the action K-drama. As per Soompi, Netflix has commented on Seo-joon’s cameo but did not share any further details about his role. They shared:
"It is true that Park Seo-joon will be making a special appearance in ‘Bloodhounds 2.’ However, we cannot provide further details at this time."
Therefore, we might have to wait for a while to know more about Park Seo-joon’s cameo role in Bloodhounds Season 2.
More about Bloodhounds Season 2
The news about Bloodhounds Season 2 was confirmed earlier this year and will narrate the story of Geon-woo and Woo-jin trying to uncover an illegal boxing business. With a new storyline, a new and menacing villain will also be introduced, which will be played by none other than popular actor/singer Rain.
As per Netflix, the synopsis of Bloodhounds Season 2 reads:
"Woo Do-hwan returns as Gun-woo, who embodies the righteous “heart of a boxer.” Lee Sang-yi reprises his role as Woo-jin, Gun-woo’s bold and brave friend and fellow boxer. Together, they reunite to take down an illegal boxing league. Jung Ji-hoon steps into his first villain role as Baek-jeong, who uses his power and any means necessary to draw Gun-woo and Woo-jin into the underground boxing world."
Other than Rain and Park Seo-joon, Single’s Inferno’s Dex is also confirmed to appear in the new season of the popular series. In season 1, Geon-woo and Woo-jin formed an unlikely friendship to help their loved ones, as Geon-woo's mother had become a victim of the ruthless loan sharks. Season 2 will surely bring the same camaraderie between the duo and more action sequences.
Bloodhounds is expected to premiere in 2026, and while you wait for the new season, catch up on season 1, available on Netflix.
