BoJack Horseman – Voiced by Will Arnett

BoJack Horseman, the show's titular character, is voiced by the gravelly-voiced Will Arnett. The actor's deep voice brings to life BoJack's sarcastic and emotionally disturbed personality.

BoJack was the star of a campy family sitcom titled Horsin' Around. His existence ever since has been all about regret, booze, and narcotics. The greatest thing about the show is Will Arnett's voice acting ability, and he also voices some of the show's supporting characters such as Butterscotch Horseman (BoJack's dad) and hallucinated or dreamed-up characters.

Diane Nguyen – Voiced by Alison Brie

Diane Nguyen in BoJack Horseman is employed to ghostwrite BoJack's memoir. She is a socially aware, emotionally sensitive Vietnamese-American author who is grappling with identity crises, feminist dogma, and depression. Community and GLOW actress Alison Brie provides emotional richness to the voice of Diane .

Along with BoJack, Diane is at the center of the show.

Princess Carolyn – Voiced by Amy Sedariss

Princess Carolyn in BoJack Horseman is portrayed as BoJack's agent, publicist, and occasional girlfriend. Played by Amy Sedaris, the woman is desperate, wisecracking, and frantic to maintain her Hollywood lifestyle.

Sedaris infuses the role with energy and intelligence, and her sharp monologues have impeccable timing. Throughout the series, Princess Carolyn transitions from a backroom fixer to a woman in search of her own story. She wants to - i.e., having a daughter and starting her own agency, VIM.

Todd Chavez – Voiced by Aaron Paul

Todd Chavez is BoJack's couch-surfer buddy who eventually carves his place in the zany show. Portrayed by Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, Todd starts off as the show's comedy relief and becomes one of the most emotionally invested characters on the show.

Todd is one of the first asexual TV characters to be shown openly, and his narrative is about creating boundaries for himself. Aaron Paul also created the series.

Mr. Peanutbutter – Voiced by Paul F. Tompkins

Mr. Peanutbutter is the tireless optimist, one-time co-star and sitcom arch-rival of BoJack. BoJack's counterpart in every aspect, Mr. Peanutbutter also strikes a contrast to BoJack in almost every way.

Naive as at times the character voiced by Paul F. Tompkins appears, Mr. Peanutbutter's narrative in BoJack Horseman habitually uncover emotional vulnerabilities.

Sarah Lynn – Voiced by Kristen Schaal

Lynn is BoJack's on-screen adopted child on the fictional show Horsin' Around, and is a former child star who has become a pop icon. Sarah Lynn represents the tawdry dark side of fame, and is voiced by Kristen Schaal. Her addiction and where it lands her comprise some of the most tragic moments in BoJack Horseman.

Schaal's performance captures the desperation, humor, and tragedy about Sarah Lynn, highlighting the ultimate cost that a corrupt entertainment system has extracted from her.

Hollyhock – Voiced by Aparna Nancherla

In BoJack Horseman, Hollyhock is a teenager who, early on, suspects BoJack may be her father. Voiced by Aparna Nancherla, Hollyhock disrupts BoJack's outlook and introduces changes in him. She is subsequently discovered to be his half-sister.

Hollyhock is the symbol of a generational change. She is a character that comes with its nuances.

Herb Kazzaz – Voiced by Stanley Tucci

Herb Kazzaz created Horsin' Around, and is also BoJack's former comedy partner. The character is played by Stanley Tucci. However, there is a deterioration in the friendship between Herb with BoJack at one point, when BoJack refuses to defend Herb when he gets embroiled in a scandal. This becomes a defining moment of the show.

The story of Herb basically revolves around the idea of guilt, and Stanley Tucci's voice acting lends weight to the role.
