Lena believes that the past museum heist is somehow connected to the murder. She holds this belief because when the informant in the heist case was killed, a painting was stolen from his house in the same way that the paintings in the museum had been stolen. She also discovers that the relatives of the deceased were keeping some secrets, further mounting the stress and drama as Danny and Lena strive to get the murder and the art heist of the past solved.

The discoveries in the Boston Blue episode 5 made during the murder investigation are causing tensions between the Silver family members, as the different crimes that each member is investigating highlight that the suspects are connected. The series showed us that parents can be held responsible for their children's actions, particularly when it comes to safety and accountability.
