Fallout, the post-apocalyptic drama series, which was released on Prime Video in 2024, has been gearing up for its second season. The show is based on the video game franchise of the same name created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. It tells the story of a post-apocalyptic world, where survivors of a nuclear war live in bunkers, but this world has an alternate history from our Earth.

Fallout follows Lucy, who leaves her bunker to look for her father, who was taken by raiders. On her quest, she meets a bounty hunter and a Brotherhood of Steel squire. Season one of Fallout was quite the success, and the show has brand new images from season two, giving us a sneak peek into the upcoming season.

Brand new images released from Fallout season two

The new images from season 2 of Fallout were released with the caption:

"We got a Full House.. take a peek at what's on hand for Season Two."

The first picture is of Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean, followed by images that featured Aaron Moten as Maximus, Walton Goggins as Cooper Howard, Kyle MacLachlan as Hank MacLean, Moisés Arias as Norm MacLean, and Frances Turner as Barb Howard. The images are stills from scenes of the upcoming season, which, as announced by the show's official Instagram account, will be released in December 2025.

Fallout season 1 ended with the revelation of Vault-Tec’s hidden agenda, which reshaped alliances across the wasteland. Norm discovered that Vault 31 conceals cryogenically frozen Vault-Tec executives, overseen by Bud Askins’ preserved brain in a mechanical body.

Lucy uncovered her father, Hank's, role in the bombing of Shady Sands, which transformed Rose, a former Vault 33 resident, into a ghoul. After that revelation, Lucy disowned Hank, who escaped toward New Vegas. Moldaver, gravely injured, used Hank’s access code to activate her cold fusion reactor, restoring power to Los Angeles before she died.

The Brotherhood mistakenly credited Maximus for Moldaver’s death, giving him the title of knighthood. With Rose killed and her father disgraced, Lucy accepted the Ghoul’s offer to join him and Dogmeat in searching for Vault-Tec’s surviving leadership. Season 2 is expected to follow what awaits them.

The show's additional cast memebers include Xelia Mendes-Jones as Dane, Leslie Uggams as Betty Pearson, Johnny Pemberton as Thaddeus, Zach Cherry as Woody Thomas, Sarita Choudhury as Lee Moldaver, Annabel O'Hagan as Stephanie Harper, Rodrigo Luzzi as Reg McPhee, Leer Leary as Davey, Elle Vertes as Rose MacLean, Dave Register as Chet, and Teagan Meredith as Janey Howard.

Fallout is created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, who also serve as showrunners and executive producers. Other executive producers of the show include Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Jonathan Nolan, Todd Howard, James Altman, Margot Lulick, and James W. Skotchdopole.

The show is produced by Crystal Whelan, Halle Phillips, Gursimran Sandhu, Jake Bender, and Zach Dunn. The production companies behind the show are Kilter Films, Big Indie Pictures, Bethesda Game Studios, and Amazon MGM Studios.

Fallout season 2 will release in December 2025, and season one is streaming on Prime Video.
