Stranger Things Season 5 is just over a month away from its highly anticipated release, and it's safe to say that fans are eager to know what's coming. The official teaser for Stranger Things Season 5 offers a sneak peek into what's to come, featuring the Upside Down, Demogorgons, Vecna, and the Hawkins team fighting them.

A little more than a month away from the release of Stranger Things Season 5, Empire has released an exclusive new look at a Demogorgon from the upcoming season. The new look is part of an exclusive cover issue featuring the show, its cast, and creators.

New look at Demogorgon from Stranger Things Season 5

The exclusive new look at the Demogorgan by Empire features the Stranger Things creature we're familiar with, as it reaches to catch prey. If you've watched Stranger Things from the beginning, you know how these creatures have existed from Season 1. While Eleven killed one that came to Indiana through the portal, there are many others in the Upside Down. These creatures are going to return in Stranger Things Season 5 as we see the final battle between the Vecna and the Hawkins team.

The children (and their parents) of Hawkins have been tormented by Demogorgons, Mind Flayer, and Vecna since the first season. Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Will, Steve, Robin, Nancy, and Jonathan have done their best to fight them all, but the final battle is yet to happen. Season 5 will see Hawkins split in half as a rift appeared between Earth and the Upside Down back in Season 4's finale.

The only way the Upside Down and its terrors can be stopped is by finding and killing Vecna, who has disappeared. The Hawkins team must do everything to stop and kill Vecna before it's too late. And as the creators, the Duffer Brothers told Empire, Stranger Things Season 5 will bring the story to a complete end, and not leave any question unanswered. As Matt Duffer said to Empire,

“Now we’re in the final season, we don’t have to hold anything back,”

Ross Duffer spoke on the same, saying,

“We didn’t want to tie everything into a perfect bow, but I think we answer most questions and resolve every arc,”

He continued,

“It was our intention to write a definitive ending to this story.”

The Demogorgons are most likely going to be a big part of the fourth and eighth episodes titled Sorcerer and The Rightside Up, respectively. This is because Matt Duffer, in the interview with Empire, also said,

“Episode 4 and Episode 8 are just monsters,”

He also went on to say that episode 4, Sorcerer, was,

“the most logistically insane shoot of our lives.”

The show that started in 2016 is going to come to an end in 2025, after almost a decade. It is truly the end of an era. It is the last battle, and the one that matters the most for the characters whose lives were turned upside down by a universe named exactly that.

Stranger Things Season 5 will be released on Netflix in 3 volumes. Volume 1, consisting of the first four episodes, will be released on November 26, Volume 2, consisting of the next three, on Christmas, and Volume 3, consisting of the final episode, on New Year's Eve. The first four seasons of the show are streaming on Netflix.
