Vince Gilligan, the genius behind Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is back with a new Apple TV+ series called Pluribus. A new teaser was released on August 19, 2025. It's short, unsettling, and can instantly stir up conversation, exactly the things you expect from Gilligan. Social media was abuzz when the clip began to make the rounds and official reports confirmed what we already suspected: the campaign is a tease and it is actually succeeding.

Here's what's official: Pluribus stars Rhea Seehorn (our beloved Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul) and debuts with two episodes on Friday, November 7, 2025, and then weekly on Fridays until December 26. Apple labels it as a "genre-bending" sci-fi drama about "the most miserable person on Earth" who somehow has to save the world from happiness. And it's already been ordered for two seasons, which tells us that Apple is really confident.

The latest Pluribus teaser

In the new teaser, things become quite bloody, perhaps all too literally, as we see Rhea Seehorn’s character Carol walking away from a building towards the camera up close. She looks down and realizes that there is blood smeared over her arms and shirt, and the screen cuts to disturbing text: “Hello, Carol. We’ll put things right.” Then, making a feeble dive into the weird, what looms out is a strange courtesy: “Sorry about the blood.” There is something darker and unnerving about it, and it feels more than a scream.

The blood is abrupt and inexplicable, which intensifies our confusion and arouses curiosity. It no longer verges on being disconcertingly lighthearted as in the previous teaser (we remember those donuts) but moves entirely towards something downright creepy and threatening. And as far as Carol is concerned, she is in the middle of something messy and potentially hazardous. Is she to be seen as a victim? It is obvious that this world might be associated with unclean sacrifices, disorder, or even bloodshed. It is certain that Gilligan masters this genre.

What's the vibe of Pluribus?

In the middle of it all is Rhea Seehorn, who has teamed up with Gilligan once again but this time in a very different role: A sad and broken hero who may be the most cranky rescuer in the universe. Other members of the cast, including Karolina Wydra and Carlos-Manuel Vesga, with Samba Schutte and Miriam Shor appearing alongside as guest stars. No multiverse spandex: Apple describes it as a grounded, genre-bending story set in Albuquerque (as Gilligan always is fond of). There will be human messiness, weird humour, and ethical conundrums; it will all just be framed in a speculative context.

Where to watch

Save the date: We know right now that Pluribus is dropping two episodes on November 7, 2025, on Apple TV+ and will debut weekly from that date until December 26. That leaves it eight consecutive Fridays to control end-of-year chatter, as awards-bait season picks up speed and people seek something buzzworthy to gorge on through the holidays. It is already on Esquire as one of the most anticipated releases of the fall, and that chatter is only going louder now that these micro-trailers are finding their way across social feeds.

This is tactically savvy scheduling: the weekly cadence will allow theories to percolate, and Gilligan's shows thrive best on the “what-does-it-mean?” Mondays. Wanted some X-Files weirdness overlaid on the character-first tensions of Better Call Saul? It appears to have been made just for you. Keep an eye on Apple for updates and YouTube as we await the full trailer, which is surely on its way, because this campaign is evidently only at the starting gate.
