Bridgerton Season 4 has officially wrapped filming, and we can expect the 'bohemian second son' to finally get the fairy tale love story in the Regency-era England, that he's been watching his brothers and sister find for themselves. Netflix has already confirmed in July 2024 that Season 4 will feature Benedict Bridgerton's love story, and Yerin Ha has been cast as Benedict's love interest, Sophie Baek.
Netflix's Bridgerton had been mostly faithful to its origin, the Julia Quinn novels, except for some details; however, that changed with Season 3 when the order was changed and Benedict's story in the third book in the series, An Offer From a Gentleman, was skipped for Colin and Penelope's story in Romancing Mister Bridgerton.
The wait is, however, finally over, and we will get to witness Benedict's love story. Here are some things that can be expected in Bridgerton Season 4.
Everything we know about Bridgerton Season 4 so far

The official logline for the fourth season of the Regency era drama gives us some idea about the direction that the show might be heading in:
"Season 4 turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down. That is, until an enthralling woman captures Benedict’s attention at Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball. While Benedict knows his love interest as only the Lady in Silver, she’s actually Sophie, a resourceful maid with her own secrets and dreams."
The logline does seem to show that Season 4 will be heavily adapting from Quinn's novel, An Offer From a Gentleman. In the novel, Sophie Beckett is a maid to the Penwoods after the Earl marries Araminta Reiling, and her two daughters, Rosamund and Posy, come with Araminta Reiling to the Earl's house. Sophie expects two friendly faces of her age, but instead finds girls who've been taught by their mother to despise her.
It appears such a track might be explored in the fourth season as well, as Katie Leung has been cast as Araminta Gun, along with Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li and Isabella Wei as Posy Li. Only time will tell if such a track will be explored in the fourth season, as showrunner Jess Brownwell has revealed about the Li sisters that:
While Rosamund has become her mother’s mini-me — a marriage mart pro chess player — Posy is dreamy and often unserious, much to her mother’s disapproval. Araminta and Rosamund are so focused on their own goals that, frankly, the Bridgertons don’t register much for them at first, beyond the fact that Benedict proves to be quite the catch this season.

However, here's what we do know from Luke Thompson's Benedict about his storyline with Sophie:
"The main thing we can expect [is] a really nice mix of fairy tale and reality. We’ve got this fairy-tale love story, yes, but it’s also got the Bridgerton element of trying to tether [it] to some sort of reality as well. So, we’ll see how that pans out!"
"The storyline is a bit of a twist on ‘Cinderella.’ You remember being told those stories as a child — the magic and the romance of them. It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton … It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable."
It appears that even though the fourth season will be adapting from the books, they will also be keeping in touch with reality, so we can expect some changes from the book's storyline, which could be a good thing, considering how much the story is spread out over the years, in the book.

In other news, to everybody's relief, the best friends duo has been reunited, all sorrows forgotten. Eloise and Penelope are closer than ever, as revealed by Bronwell:
"Their trials and tribulations last season have added new depth to their friendship, and we’re excited for viewers to see how their relationship looks now that they’ve each grown up a little."
Additionally, Simone Ashley's Kate Bridgerton, Season 2's leading lady, will also be seen in Season 4, and some Anthony and Kate moments are always a treat for the viewers, so there's more of that coming up.
Season 4 will have eight exceptional episodes, so fans can gear up for another exciting season full of masquerades, gossip, and above all, a fairy-tale love story, and maybe some more instrumental renditions of Taylor Swift, if things go well. We do not have an official release date for the highly anticipated Bridgerton fourth season, but hopefully, it can be expected by early 2026.
