Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 3 will air on NBC on October 6. Michael Grassi's medical drama series, based on Dr. Oliver Sacks' best-selling books, premiered its Season 2 on September 22, 2025.

Zachary Quinto's Dr. Oliver Wolf, the talented physician in Neurology at Bronx General Hospital, returns with his impressive team of interns and treats a new patient in every episode. The sophomore season also introduced a parallel mystery suggesting that Wolf will end up in a mental facility at the end of Season 2. Each episode includes a flash forward of Wolf at the harrowing facility.

In addition to Quinto, Brilliant Minds Season 2 also stars Tamberla Perry as Carol, Ashleigh LaThrop as Ericka, Alex MacNicoll as Van, Aury Krebs as Dana, Spence Moore II as Jacob, Teddy Sears as Josh and Donna Murphy as Muriel. Brian Altemus, John Clarence Stewart, and Bellamy Young have also joined the second season.

Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 3: Release and streaming details

Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 3 titled 'The Witness', will air on NBC on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. ET. The episodes will also be available to stream on Peacock the following day.

Like its freshman season, the second season of Brilliant Minds also releases weekly episodes every Monday on NBC.

It was The Truman Show in Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 2

After starting strong with the Alien syndrome in the Season 2 premiere of Brilliant Minds, Episode 2 featured another bizarre (but real) condition called the Truman Show Syndrome, where a delusional woman was seeing cameras all around her.

After a young woman named Lauren Brooks was admitted into the ER for some mysterious cuts on her face, which she believed were from her escape attempt from a reality TV programme, Wolf made this diagnosis. After a quick ultrasound scan, it was revealed that she was undergoing IVF treatment and the hormonal changes from her egg retrieval surgery and stress from her recent break-up had led to this psychotic break. Wolf believed that Luaren needs rest and care, and she will stop seeing cameras following her.

Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 2 gave us another flash forward into the future timeline at Hudson Oaks, where Wolf was signing himself into the mental facility, with Carol encouraging him. While Wolf's escape attempt in the Season 2 premiere suggested that he was being held at Hudson Oaks against his will, this detail hints at a larger mystery. This could be a red herring for us, or Wolf could be pretending to be a patient to help someone admitted into Hudson Oaks.

What can you expect from Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 3?

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the logline for the upcoming episode reads as follows:

''Dr. Wolf and his team treat a young patient accused of a serious crime.''

Episode 3 is titled 'The Witness', which suggests that the upcoming episode might contain themes of a legal thriller. The logline also suggests that Wolf and his team will help an accused patient. The first two episodes of the sophomore season have featured unique psychotic conditions, and it seems the season will continue that streak in the upcoming episode.

Additionally, since each episode in Brilliant Minds Season 2 features a breadcrumb for audiences about the Hudson Oaks timeline, it would be interesting to see what new information Episode 3 will reveal. While Episode 2 unveiled the partial HOW, fans are now waiting for 'WHY' Wolf will admit himself into that facility.

Tune into Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 3 on NBC on October 6.
