Bryce Dallas Howard has confirmed that she directed 2 episodes of Ahsoka Season 2

Ahsoka in Star Wars, set after Return of the Jedi, Season 2 carries on the tale of Ahsoka Tano and her apprentice Sabine Wren. While Grand Admiral Thrawn battles the New Republic, they are stranded in another galaxy. Dave Filoni is the showrunner, while Lucasfilm is the production company.

Alongside Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Hayden Christensen, and Rory McCann, Rosario Dawson reprises his role as Ahsoka. In the UK, filming began in April 2025. The eight-episode season will air on Disney+. After Ray Stevenson's death, Rory McCann took over as Baylan Skoll.

Ahsoka, an alternate series by Dave Filoni, is a sequel to the character Ahsoka Tano, formerly the Jedi apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, as she hunts down Grand Admiral Thrawn and deals with the shadows of the Empire that have remained. Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) were left in an isolated galaxy at the end of Season 1, with Thrawn going back to the familiar universe, which pre-establishes a big conflict in the next season.

The episodes mentioned by Howard are said to develop the relationship between Ahsoka and Sabine, which covers the themes of mentoring, loss, and the purpose of the legacy.
