Ahsoka Season 2 is in production, and will be released in 2026. It will follow Ahsoka Tano and apprentice Sabine Wren who are stranded in a different galaxy. At the same time, Grand Admiral Thrawn will be leading whatever remains of the Galactic Empire against the New Republic.
As reported by ScreenRant, at Comic Con LA, Bryce Dallas has confirmed that she has directed two episodes of the upcoming season of Ahsoka, but also hinted at what the season will be like.
Bryce Dallas said:
“I just finished shooting two episodes this summer for Ahsoka season 2. It is so good. It’s beautiful, it’s thrilling, it’s adventurous, it’s romantic. It’s all the things you wanted from an epic story.”

At the end of Ahsoka Season 1, Grand Admiral Thrawn escaped back to the known galaxy, while Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang became stranded on Peridea. Ezra Bridger also escaped Peridea with Thrawn, leaving Ahsoka to face a transformed Morgan Elsbeth. Ahsoka manages to kill the transformed Morgan Elizabeth at the end and the season concluded with Baylan Skoll discovering large Mortis god statues, and Anakin Skywalker's Force ghost appearing to Ahsoka.
Bryce Dallas calling Season 2 romantic was a little surprising because Season 1 did not focus on romance too much. While she did not specify who will explore romance in Season 2, given the events of Season 1, Sabine Wren and Shin Hati is likely the duo Dallas was hinting at. Or we might be introduced to a completely different couple. While it is surprising, Howard has previously dealt with romantic storylines in The Mandalorian, where Din Djarin shared a bond with Omera.
Actress and director Bryce Dallas has directed multiple Star Wars projects before Ahsoka. She has directed three episodes of The Mandalorian, one episode of The Book of Boba Fett, one episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and one of Tales of the Jedi, in which she also voiced the character of Yaddle.
As an actress, she has starred as Rosalind in As You Like It, Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3, Katherine Brewster Connor in Terminator Salvation, Elly Conway/ Rachel Kylle in Argylle, and Claire Dearing in Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World Dominion.
Ahsoka Season 2 is expected to have eight epidodes and will star Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. Rory McCann has been cast as Baylan Skoll following Ray Stevenson's death, who played the character in Season 1.

Ahsoka Season 2 is produced by Lucasfilm and Golem Creations. Dave Filoni is the showrunner. Season 2 of the show will be released on Disney+ sometime in 2026 and Season 1 is streaming on Disney+.
