Built in Birmingham: Brady & the Blues is an upcoming docuseries on Prime Video that chronicles the journey of the Birmingham City F.C. after Tom Brady acquires a stake in the football club.

Built in Birmingham: Brady & the Blues will be released on Prime Video on Friday, August 1, 2025. All five episodes of the show will be dropped simultaneously. The series is a Prime Video exclusive, so you need to have an active subscription to the streaming platform to enjoy it. The subscription costs $8.99 per month.


What to expect from Built in Birmingham: Brady & the Blues?

The show will explore the day-to-day challenges that Birmingham City F.C. faces while trying to turn around its fate in the EFL. With an inside look at their lives and practice sessions, the audience will get to see how Tom Brady lays out a plan to turn the team into a world-class sporting club.

Prime Video has unveiled a description of the series, which reads:

“The five-part docuseries tells the authentic tale of a club accustomed to sporting heartbreak, who are rebuilt to win, with American football legend Tom Brady laying out their new mission statement: ‘We’re trying to make this a world-class team.’”
“[The show] follows that journey, as a new ownership group suffers relegation and multiple managerial changes en route to a record-breaking season, which delivered automatic promotion to the EFL Sky Bet Championship.”

Apart from the sporting activities, the show will also chronicle the culture of Birmingham City and how fans have supported the team through thick and thin. Birmingham City F.C. is the 10th-oldest football club in England, and has a history of 150 years, which will be honored with the documentary.


Who is involved in Built in Birmingham: Brady & the Blues?

American football legend Tom Brady features in the documentary. He bought a minority stake in the club in 2023. Other people who will be seen in the series include the team’s players and their coaching staff, including Head Coach Chris Davies and Chairman Tom Wagner.

The show is created by Tom Brady and Gotham Chopra. The latter also serves as a director on the series, along with Claudia Corbisiero. The executive producers include Brady, Steven Knight, and Matt Alvarez.
