Can This Love Be Translated? is all set to release on Netflix on January 16. The announcement was made via Tudum on December 10. However, Netflix has still not released the teaser of the upcoming Korean drama, with only the poster released as of now.

With nearly a month to go, the platform could release the teaser anytime soon. While you look forward to it, here's everything you should know about the upcoming K-drama, Can This Love Be Translated?

The drama falls under the rom-com genre and is expected to bring plenty of fun and romance. The streaming platform has rated it 13+, with parental guidance advised for kids under thirteen years of age.

The synopsis of Can This Love Be Translated? on the Netflix website reads:

"The emotions of a celebrity and her interpreter get lost in translation as they travel the world filming a TV show. Will love find its own language?"

When and where to watch Can This Love Be Translated?

Can This Love Be Translated? is scheduled to release on January 16 next year. It will be exclusively available on Netflix.

According to Netflix press, the story of this upcoming K-drama, Can This Love Be Translated?, follows:

"An unexpected blossoming relationship between a multilingual translator and a global celebrity. As they travel the world filming a TV show together, their relationship grows, but, as can happen when two people become more entangled (even if they speak a common language), their feelings towards each other can become more difficult to understand."

As of now, Netflix has not revealed the total number of episodes in the series or whether it will be released all at once or on a weekly basis. According to MyDramaList, the series will consist of twelve episodes in total.

Based on previous Korean dramas released by Netflix, each episode is expected to run for around sixty to seventy minutes.

The cast and character of Can This Love Be Translated? is as follows:

Go Youn-jung as Cha Mu-hee: Mu-hee is a very famous celebrity in the series, widely recognized for her breakout role as a ghoul creature. Youn-jung's other famous projects include Resident Playbook and Sweet Home.

Kim Seon-ho as Ju Ho-jin: Ho-jin works as a multilingual interpreter in the series who is proficient in many languages, including Italian, Japanese, and English. From the synopsis, it looks like he will work closely with the lead female character, leading to a growing bond between them. Seon-ho's other famous projects include Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and Start-Up.

Sota Fukushi as Hiro Kurosawa: Hiro, an actor from Japan, features with Mu-hee on a dating show.

According to MyDramaList, the other cast of the show includes Lee Yi Dam as Sin Ji Seon and Choi Woo Sung as Kim Yong U. However, details about their character have not been revealed so far.

Netflix has already released the first poster of the series, showing the two leads sitting at a restaurant, looking at each other. However, what the show will bring is something viewers will learn only after it releases.
