The sixth and final episode of Hulu’s comedy series, Chad Powers, is set to release on October 28, 2025.
As the season nears its end, the audience’s curiosity about the outcome of Russ Holliday’s thrilling escapade disguising himself as Chad Powers, a walk-on quarterback for the South Georgia Catfish, knows no bounds.
Glen Powell and Michael Waldron collaborated to create Chad Powers, which originated from a viral 2022 ESPN sketch by Eli Manning’s Omaha Productions, featuring Manning in disguise as Chad Powers at a college football tryout.
The streaming service Hulu aired the series premiere on September 30, 2025, releasing the first two episodes together, followed by weekly Tuesday releases.
Powell is the main character in this series, which has drawn the attention of many viewers for its comical and heartwarming plot. Glen Powell, Michael Waldron, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, and Jamie Horowitz are the executive producers who bring authenticity to the show’s football sequences.
The conclusion titled 6th Quarter is likely to increase the tension even more, as South Georgia Catfish and Chad Powers are to be the main features on ESPN College Gameday.

What to expect from Episode 6?
Imagine if Johnny Manziel got kicked from college football, grew a mustache, and tried to sneak back onto the field as his own evil twin. That’s Russ Holliday in a nutshell. Russ, who is keen on getting back his football legacy, assumes the identity of ‘Chad Powers’ and disguises himself as a walk-on QB for the South Georgia Catfish, a struggling Division I football program.
Now, Russ isn’t doing this on a whim. He has a burning need to prove he wasn’t just a one-hit wonder who tanked his own career. He actually wants to matter again, to be remembered for something other than that one embarrassing headline. So, he turns himself into Chad, a slightly cartoonish football savant, and questionable facial hair.
By the time episode five rolls around, things have escalated to dramatic levels. The Catfish remains undefeated, and fans are going gaga over them. Every week, it’s a little more obvious that the Chad Powers persona is stitched together with duct tape and prayer. Russ is juggling team politics, media hype, and the ever-present threat of being exposed.
The tension is both unbearable and hilarious, especially with Coach Byrd and Ricky Hudson getting suspicious but not quite connecting the dots.
Then, in Episode 5, Russ is spiraling. He is starting to think his old bad luck is following him around, and the stress is getting to him. Right on cue, he collides with Wendy, Coach Hudson’s wife, at the absolute worst possible time. Meanwhile, ESPN’s cameras are rolling for a wholesome ‘meet the team’ segment when Wendy blurts out that she and Russ slept together the previous night.
Soon, Coach Hudson keels over with a heart attack, right there in front of the cameras. The team mascot, Danny, steps up and tries to help. Meanwhile, Russ is one bad decision away from running out onto the field and just confessing everything.
By the end of the episode, the Catfish’s season is hanging by a thread. The locker room vibe is icy. Russ’s double life is on the edge. Everyone is looking at him sideways, and you get the sense that it’s only a matter of time before someone blows the whistle.
So, heading into Chad Powers Episode 6, the stakes couldn’t be higher. ESPN is about to put this circus on national TV, and the Catfish have their biggest game yet. Will Russ finally come clean? Will the team implode, or will they rally and pull off a miracle? It’s set up for either a legendary comeback or a total implosion.
Whatever happens, Chad is about to find out if you can really outrun your past, or if sometimes, it just tackles you at the goal line.
