Netflix premiered Cheat: Unfinished Business on April 20, 2025. The British reality show features eight ex-couples. They participated in a possible reconciliation of their relationship or to get closure.
The first episode featured show host Amanda Holden and relationship expert Paul C. Brunson. She invited eight ex-couples to the Reckoning room as they faced their partner. Some of them were seeing each other after months, some after years.
Further in the episode, ex-couples, one by one, had a face-to-face conversation. Amanda and Paul overlooked their discussion from the Reckoning room.
Netflix describes the Cheat: Unfinished Business Episode 1 as:
"Eight ex-couples who had been torn apart by cheating arrive at a retreat in hope of getting closure or rekindling their broken relationships."

The first episode of the Netflix show featured the host, Amanda Holden. She mentions eight "ex-couples" who will be participating. To help them navigate throughout the show, an expert, Paul C. Brunson, will guide them.
"Tonight, eight ex-couples will reunite here in this relationship retreat...after they've been torn apart by cheating. Cheating is one of the most heartbreaking betrayals of trust," said the host.
After the eight ex-couples arrived, the host mentioned they were in the Reckoning room. The next time they would be there, it would be to discuss their progress in their relationship. When she asked if anyone wanted to share anything before moving forward, Olivia, Kieran, and Biggs shared.
Cheat: Unfinished Business host also mentioned that the participants won't be living with their ex. The ones sitting on one side of the table would live together, whilst the participants sitting on the other would live together. Those sitting on the left will live in Roza, while those on the right will live in Azul.
She also revealed that their journey will start from the next day, with the help of the relationship expert.

The next morning, show host Amanda introduced relationship expert Paul C. Brunson to all the participants. He told them to be "transparent" and share about the "cheating." Later, Amanda and Paul had a discussion, away from the participants, about what they would be doing.
"I think we have lots of good people with sometimes bad behavior," said Paul.
They talked about helping participants to correct their behavior so that they can become better. The two also discuss betrayals and whether people can "come back" from that.
Rebecca (G) and Biggs were the first couple to have a face-to-face conversation. While the ex-couple discussed their issues, show host Amanda and expert Paul witnessed the conversation on screen.
Cheat: Unfinished Business star Biggs confessed to his infidelity to Rebecca. After he said it "just happened," she wanted to leave the conversation and think about what he said. The female participant got emotional while confessing to the cameras.
Next conversation was between Andre and Steph. Their relationship ended after she saw "I miss you" texts from a girl on his phone. When Steph asked about having s*xual relations, Andre confessed. He mentioned feeling "neglected" by Steph.
"I trusted you," said Steph.
The next couple to see each other and have a conversation was Kieran and Amberley. He mentioned an incident where he met two girls, went to the hotel, and slept in the same bed, and nothing happened.
"I'm never gonna believe that. Are you serious?" asked Kimberly.
After they were "done" during their relationship, Kimberly mentioned being intimate with "someone else." The two argued about the incident in Portugal involving Kieran and two other girls.
The next conversation was between Shaun and Tegan. They talked about Shaun meeting a girl at a bar, going to the club with her, getting a cab, and arriving at his place with her. When she asked about having a girlfriend in the morning, he denied it.
Later, the girl contacted Tegan and sent the voice note featuring Shaun telling her not to share anything with Tegan.
"Your cheating has ruined me," said Tegan.
He said he wanted to "fix" everything, to which Tegan said she needed some space. The next conversation was between Olivia and Liam, who had been together for a decade. After asking him if he cheated on her "again," which Liam said no to, she showed him a picture on her phone.
Cheat: Unfinished Business's first episode ended before Liam could answer Olivia about the picture.
