The sixth episode of Chicago Fire Season 14 brings forth multiple storylines that interconnect in a seamless manner. Each and every character in this character-driven series brings the story to life. However, this episode does come with a distinct focus on Kidd. Pascal and Severide also share some quality time together.
It cannot be denied that Chicago Fire Season 14 is truly taking the stakes higher with the storyline. Besides the crisis situations that the team handles, their personal lives also go through significant ups and downs this season.

1) Dermot Mulroney as Dom Pascal
This episode in the series is quite significant for Dermot Mulroney’s Dom Pascal. Dom and Severide spent quite some time together in this episode. They go to visit the mayor’s chief of staff, Annette Davis, so that they can discuss the department’s requirements if they need anything.
He also discusses with Davis about the time when she asked him out for a date in this episode. There is a distinct layer of authenticity in Dermot Mulroney’s performance. It makes Dom’s presence throughout the episode intriguing. Some of Mulroney’s other projects are How to Make an American Quilt, Crisis, Pure Genius, etc.
2) Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide
Taylor Kinney keeps up with his intriguing presence throughout the episode, just as in the previous episodes of the series. In this episode, Kelly Severide’s interaction with Dom Pascal is the main focus. He is quite interested in the manner in which Dom introduces him to Annette Davis.
Just as in his other projects, such as The Other Woman, Shameless, The Vampire Diaries, and many more, he perfectly brought out the characters and stole the spotlight with his unique depiction; in this series as well, his performance shines bright throughout.
3) Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd
Miranda Rae Mayo’s Stella Kidd in this episode focuses on her foster son’s situation with his mother’s accident. Kidd wants Isaiah’s mother to have the best care. She begins researching the best facilities that would help her get better.
Her dedication, which can be seen in this episode, truly depicts how concerned she is about her foster son. Mirana Rae truly makes Stella’s heartwarming nature a significant aspect of the series.
4) Annabeth Gish as Annette Davis
Famed for projects such as Brotherhood, The Bridge, Halt and Catch Fire, and many more, Annabeth Gish takes on the guest role of Annette Davis in this episode of Chicago Fire.
She perfectly captures Annette Davis’ stern yet dedicated nature in a distinct manner. This can be seen in her conversation with Severide and Dom, especially while they handle a crisis situation.
5) S. Epatha Merkerson as Sharon Goodwin
Yet another intriguing guest appearance in this episode of Chicago Fire Season 14. S. Epatha Merkerson’s Sharon Goodwin gives Kidd a helping hand in searching for a facility for Kidd’s foster son’s mother.
Merkerson’s presence in this episode is for a very short time; however, she steals the show with her distinct ability to bring life to her character. Some of her other notable works include Law & Order, Lackawanna Blues, Here and Now, etc.
6) Adam Harrington as Cliff Belfort
In this episode of Chicago Fire, Adam Harrington’s guest appearance as Cliff Belfort created quite a complex situation for Sal and his father. At the beginning of the episode, Sal visits Belfort’s house to discuss his father. Initially, Belfort refuses to speak to him; however, at the end of the episode, Sal visits Belfort’s house, where he tells him that he does not blame Sal’s father and that his father was the first one to reach the place.
This revelation changes the whole scenario for Sal’s father’s involvement. Even with the limited screentime, Adam Harrington perfectly captured the emotions of Cliff’s character in a nuanced manner.
