Chicago Med Season 10 finale ending explained: A familiar face returns to Gaffney

The Chicago Med Season 10 finale featured a tragic breakup, a mystery pregnancy and a surprise cameo.

Dr. Reese returned to Gaffney for a surprise visit after Dr. Charles' daughter Anna is brought in after an accident. She gives some much-needed advice to her mentor, which helped him mend his relationship with his daughter.

Elsewhere, the Chicago Med Season 10 finale also saw Lenox and her brother getting their results. While her brother's results were negative, we learned that Lenox's report was positive and that she has the markers of Gerstmann-Sträussler-Scheinker. However, she lies to her brother about her results being negative.

Chicago Med Season 10 finale: Goodwin and Dennis part ways

The Chicago Med Season 10 finale was upsetting for Goodwin after she got bad news from the board. The board asks her to make more firings to accommodate budget cuts, including Dr. Dennis. While they are concerned that her relationship with him might affect her decision, she assures them that she will be professional on the matter.

Goodwin then informs Dr. Dennis about the possibility of his being fired from the hospital. However, the board will reconsider if Dennis is ready to work for less pay and a lower title, which infuriates him. He lashes out at her, saying his title is everything to him and storms out.

Dennis then returns with his resignation letter to Goodwin and apologises for his behaviour earlier. But Goodwin is not taking any of it and expresses her disappointment with him because he didn't reveal their relationship to his daughter. This angered Goodiwn and she feels that the couple should break up.

While Dennis tries to persuade her, Goodwin doesn't budge and it looks like this is the end for the couple.

Chicago Med Season 10 finale: Dr. Charles gets some much-needed advice from an old friend

Chicago Med Season 10 finale saw Dr. Charles' daughter Anna being hospitalised after being in a car accident. Ripley informs Charles and Robin that Anna was not wearing a seatbelt which raises their concern.

When Charles goes to see Anna, he suspects that she might be thinking about taking her own life. Anna lashes out at her father, asking him not to be a shrink with her.

After Anna shuts him off, he seeks advice from someone, who is none other than Dr. Reese. He expresses regret over not being a good father because his profession always overpowered his love. Reese advises him to put the shrink aside and talk to Anna as her father.

Charles goes to see Anna again and reveals how he was unable to save his father from su*cide, which made him overtly protective of his children. After Anna expresses her own insecurities about not being a good daughter, he assures her that he is proud of her and promises to always listen to her like a father.

Chicago Med Season 10 finale ended with Hannah's baby's mystery

Chicago Med Season 10 finale revealed Hannah's pregnancy and when she reveals this news to her sister Lizzie, she is upset with her. Since Hannah was about to become Lizzie's surrogate, she is disappointed that her sister would do such a reckless thing.

During a conversation about kids, Ripley tells Hannah that he is not even sure if it is worth having kids and it is implied that he might be the father. The Season 10 finale ends with Hannah knocking on somebody's door and we think its Ripley. Ripley also had a visitor, but that was Sadie, the mom he saved from the well, who was there to ask him out.

Hannah went to Archer, and the episode ends without revealing who the father of her baby is.
