Chicago P.D. is an American police detective thriller that premiered on NBC on January 8, 2014. The series is a spin-off of the larger Chicago franchise, and centered around the officers and detectives of the Intelligence Unit of the Chicago Police Department, who are responsible for solving dangerous cases involving organized crime, drug cartels, and local corruption.
