Chicago P.D. Season 13 Episode 8 is dropping on NBC January 7, 2026. It will be back in the usual Wednesday slot, 10 PM Eastern, 9 Central. You can catch it on Peacock after it airs on NBC.

So, if you have been wanting to know what Voight and his squad are up to, the show is still knee-deep in gritty crime stuff, with the Intelligence Unit trying to outsmart Chicago’s worst. Voight is running the circus, and the team is juggling crazy cases plus their own drama.

Chicago P.D. Season 13 is rolling out with 21 episodes, and is still very much connected to NBC’s One Chicago universe. After the November 12 fall finale, fans have been left hanging, wondering who is in trouble, who is about to cross the line, or who is about to have a total meltdown.

Now, with the hiatus out of the way, Episode 8 is about to pick up all those loose ends. We can expect more moral gray areas, team squabbles, and probably a few curveballs.

Chicago P.D. Season 13, Episode 8 drops January 7, 2026. It will slide into NBC’s crime slot at 10 PM Eastern (9 PM Central for the Midwest). In case you miss the live show, just hop onto Peacock the next day. You can binge it there, whether you are in with the $11 basic plan or you have shelled out $17 for ad-free bliss. Catching up or re-watching old episodes is easy on Peacock, so you will never really miss out on anything.

The squad is still led by Jason Beghe as Voight, the guy who is Chicago’s answer to Batman, but with a questionable moral compass. Marina Squerciati is back as Burgess, still holding it down, plus you will also spot Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer. There have been some cast shakeups with Toya Turner’s exit, but the show’s heartbeat is still the Intelligence Unit’s tangled relationships and their ride through Chicago’s sketchiest crimes.

What happened in Chicago P.D. Episode 7, and what to expect in Episode 8?

In Episode 7 of Chicago P.D. Season 13, Impulse Control, you have Raymond Bell, who is a walking red flag. His past reads like a warning label. The team zeroes in on him, especially since his granddaughter Julie goes missing. They find her busted phone, so now everyone is running in pure panic mode since she might be alive, but nobody thinks it is a good situation.

On the other hand, Voight’s world starts unraveling. Someone out there is sending him creepy old photos of himself as a kid, all beaten up in a hospital bed. Whoever is behind it clearly knows exactly how to get under his skin. So, between the blackmail and the missing kid, Voight is hanging on by a thread. He has to hold it together for the team, but the pressure cooker looks ready to blow.

Episode 7 of Chicago P.D. juggles the cop show action and the personal drama. You are biting your nails over Julie, but at the same time, there is a slow-burning freakout going on for Voight. On top of that, it ends on a cliffhanger. Both the case and Voight’s blackmailer are left dangling, so we have to wait for the next episode to get our answers.

For Chicago P.D. Episode 8, the squad is about to get into Bell’s messed-up history, probably digging up more layers. And it seems like Officer Eva Imani is finally going to get her time in the spotlight.

The whole Intelligence Unit is sprinting to figure out just how bad this threat really is. We can expect the usual: high-stakes chases, the tense mind games, and plenty of personal drama.
